Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD! Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Africa.

Sunrise in the Sahara. The sand dunes of the Moroccan Sahara are an amazing sight. The huge amounts of piled sand are everything but boring, since the strong winds and the sun constantly change the patterns and colours of the dunes.

Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.
Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

This "TAREK PUKAT" activity is still attached to traditional Aceh fishermen who catch fish in the sea using "PUKAT" Even this tradition is still active in working by the fishermen in Indonesia in particular. this activity is usually done in the morning and afternoon, and some even do at night. for the Indonesian people, catching fish in this way is an activity that is still a traditional choice.

The Great Ocean road really is a nice drive, especially when the sun is out. You can do it in a few days to really enjoy the sceneries. These are the famous 12 apostles or what left of it! They are slowly disappearing because of the ocean erosion.

I still try to propose underwater photography for the Tuesday World Oceans contest ! This week a nice red gorgonia shot around Pasoso Island in Sulawesia. A lot of current kept the sea really clear as you can see. On the gorgonia, you can see a black comantula which is the same family of sea star.

The Fish Port of Tangier, Morocco has been a part of the city for a very long time. Depending on the time of day, you can see fishermen getting their boats ready to head out or returning and unloading their haul of fish. Clearly, judging by the photo I took here in October 2017, there are plenty of fishing boats in the harbor to feed many people!
Wet Swakopmund Pier at Sunrise, Namibia
After 10 days of photo shoots all around Namibia we arrived in Swakopmund for 1 final night before our flight home. Swakopmund is a kind of resort town on the coast of Atlantic Ocean with great beaches and tasty seafood restaurants. It was great to relax here, but we couldn't miss the final sunrise and went in the morning to the local pier :)

Sahrij Medersa is the first Moroccan Medersa. Medersa means any type of educational institution in Arabic language. Sahrij Medersa. Sahrij Medersa was built in the Andalusian area between 1321 and 1323 by Prince El Hassan Abu Ali, as an Islamic educational facilities like any other Medersas. Students used to learn Qur’an, medicine, astronomy, mathematics, all kinds of subjects here. Sahrij Medersa was also a boarding school for students coming from the villages.

The Table Mountain in Capetown. This picture was taken on the way to the top of the Lion's Head. This is a fairly easy hike (about 1h), but you have some gorgeous views over Cape Town.

The setting of the sun of at the seaport in south Africa was one of the few rare beauties my eyes had ever seen.
The way ships sailed towards the dark clouds had these poetic rythms that couldn't be explained by word of mouth alone. Africa truly is a beautiful place

Time for new animal photo from beautiful Namibia. I have to admit that I have strong wish to visit Namibia again in the future. When I am watching my photos from there it recalls so many amazing memories. Photo below is just one of them and it is from a must visit place near Kamanjab - Otjitotongwe Cheetah Guestfarm.

As you walk in the medina of Marrakech, you will notice that 90% of the old men wear "the sorcerer's robe".
Well, it's what we liked to call them but actually, they are named Djellaba. It's a traditional robe wore by men and women and the word Djellaba literally means attractive.

Douz Sahara Tunisia..
Douz is a small town in south-central Tunisia. Considered the "Gateway to the Sahara", the Gateway to the Sahara, Douz is a popular destination for tourists eager to discover the desert, either in camel or four-wheel drive.
The town of Douz grew up around a large palm grove that stands on the northern fringe of the Sahara. Surrounded by nothing but desert and dry scrub, historically, it was an important stop on the roads of trans-Saharan caravans. Today, tourists come in large numbers, many on the coach tours organized by the coast stations, to get a glimpse of the power of the Sahara.

The most fascinating thing about going to Africa and walking in the tourist jeeps is seeing the amount of animals that are in the streets, it is incredible. It looks a bit dangerous for some people, but as long as you have respect for these animals they will never harm you. This photo was taken in Kenya where the most tender lions in the world.

Cap Spartel
This is Cap Spartel in Morocco. It is the most northwestern point in all of Africa. It is also the point from which those going into the Mediterranean start their journey through the Pillars of Hercules.

In keeping with the Africa theme but also mixing in your Microbrewery Announcement post, I am going to submit this picture from my time in Tanzania. This picture is one of the village elders drinking some home made alcohol. He spent some time showing me how it was made with a root, sugar, water and I think there was some other stuff. They had it all stored in a large plastic barrel outside of one of the huts. He dipped the cup in and filled it up and offered me a drink of it, but there were things floating all over in it, and I didn't want to take a chance of getting sick while I was there, so I let him enjoy the cup of brew to himself.
Yeah, I know that feeling when you prefer not to try due to hygienic purposes. Great story Wes!

Photo was taken in Stone Town on Zanzibar Island. What's interesting is that on the right you can find a pole with a sign saying that you can make free international calls, if you manage to climb the pole ;) At least during my visit no one tried that.

Golden Hour In Nigeria.
Love is the greatest force in the universe. No matter the time or place love is always a beautiful thing.
Golden Hour is the time around when the sun rises or sets. Around that time a Golden effect is cast on the earth's skies or surroundings and it creates a very beautiful scene.
This picture was taken with my smartphone. Yes, I'm a photographer(mainly with my smartphone).
I had initially wanted to experiment an effect(Silhouette) but then this couple made themselves available and it became more than an effect.
It pictured Love in a perfect sunset.
The Karnak Temple Complex, commonly known as Karnak, comprises a vast mix of decayed temples, chapels, pylons, and other buildings in Egypt. Construction at the complex began during the reign of Senusret I in the Middle Kingdom and continued into the Ptolemaic period, although most of the extant buildings date from the New Kingdom. The area around Karnak was the ancient Egyptian Ipet-isut ("The Most Selected of Places") and the main place of worship of the eighteenth dynasty Theban Triad with the god Amun as its head.
Hatshepsut had monuments constructed and also restored the original Precinct of Mut, the ancient great goddess of Egypt, that had been ravaged by the foreign rulers during the Hyksos occupation. She had twin obelisks, at the time the tallest in the world, erected at the entrance to the temple. One still stands, as the tallest surviving ancient obelisk on Earth; the other has broken in two and toppled.
This is it, the tallest one shot almost straight vertical and half lightened by the sun. Skies with some interesting cloud formations making this shot pretty unusual and interesting

Tannery in Fez, Morocco
The tannery in Fez, Morocco is located within the city boundaries of the old town Fes el-Bali, which is disliked by some residents due to the smell produced during the manufacturing of leather. Visiting the tannery was an amazing experience!

We found this beautiful lion in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Botswana.
Male lions are known as the king of the beasts, the top of the foodchain and the most dominant force in the African bush. They are only competed by other male lions who wish to overthrow their territories.
This one was sleeping all day under the tree, and wake up for a very short time, so we could make a nice picture of the king.
A view of Lake Victoria, Africa's largest lake that encompasses three east African coutries. The countries are Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. It's a source of livelihood for the nearby population that does fishing and a tourist attraction too.
I took this photograph some years ago at a small game reserve, Mabalingwe, just outside Warmbaths South Africa. We had been driving in the reserve game watching and late afternoon the skies changed dramatically. The sun was beginning to set and clouds dark clouds starting forming. It became a rather eerie scene with the silhouette of the trees against against the purpling skies. The hope of rain on African soil is always an amazing sight. The air becomes heavy, there's the aroma of grass and soil and animals. Unforgettable.
This is a image of Kenta who happens to be the brother of Taiza of Karo's tribes of Omo Valley, Ethiopia on my visit to Ethiopia on a research for my industrial training in Ethiopia.
As what I met him doing, his love for farming is great and he loves to give his best in doing it.
I have to make him smile to grace my photography..
