Hello fellow Steemians!

I am starting the week #53 of my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge and we are back to the continent of Asia.

If you like to participate, place your personal image from your travels in Asia in the comment section below with a short 30 to 50 word description. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total. This is Lake Kaolin in Bangka -Balitung. The lake was formed from the former site of the abandoned mining Kaolin, it has a mesmerizing blue turquoise color. I went here during sunrise, which is the bext time to visit this lake :) Not many other tourists around.

Hong Kong skyline at Victoria Harbour in black and white. In this city the old and the new are combined all the time. In the foreground one of the many ferries that cross the harbour all the time. Hong Kong never sleeps there is activity all the day.

What a vibrant and fascinating city that is! Truly wonderful.

Summer Palace, Beijing
Last year were lucky to visit our friends in Beijing, China. Afterwards we travelled this incredible country. Here you see the beautiful lake which is part of the Summer Palace. It's about an 45-60 minute drive. Bring good shoes and be in shape to climb the stairs to various temples and building.

Have a great start into the week everybody:)

Just retweeted this post on Twitter:)

Thank you so much for your wonderful entry. Also glad to see you are promoting it on Twitter! Great job.

When I travelled through the Vietnam, one of my stops was in Phong Nha Cave. Access is only on boat by Son river. Wonderful cave with a lot of stalactites, stalagmites and longest water grottos.

What a wonderful place to visit and share! Truly fascinating.

The area between the skytrain stations Siam and Phrom Pong is Bangkok's shopping hotspot. Central World, Siam Paragon or Termial 21 are the names of the gigantic shopping malls where you can easily spend whole days. This is the evening view from the top floor of the luxurious Emquartier.

And that view is spectacular! Thank you so much for sharing.

Thank you! 😊

Yehliu Geopark, Taiwan

Earlier this week, I visited Yehliu Geopark, which is a convenient day trip from Taipei. The park features many amazing rock formations such as these! It also features an impressive view over the ocean at the end of the peninsula which you can spot in the background where the tower is.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

Nice picture.

Nice shot! We'll have to come visit soon!

What a wonderful place and image once again. Well done!

Touching the skies

Today we are coming back to amazing United Arab Emirates with its stunning high-tech Dubai and most amazing Burj Khalifa. Well, still the tallest building on Earth, but things may change soon, since they are planning to build even more higher building there...
Burj Khalifa has very nice recreation area around, which includes first of all huge Dubai Mall and a lot of hotel and restaurants around the hand made lake
Here we have night shot from a bit far away on a even bit cloudy evening

Enjoy the scenery!

Yep, that sure is a magnificent piece of an architecture. Dubai is just so fascinating with all its constructions.

The region of Cappadocia, in Turkey, has one of the most amazing landscapes I've ever seen, with geological formations that are almost too strange to be natural. And yet, they are! This is a photo taken with visiting Goreme National Park, where some of those formations can be seen up close.

Wow, that sure is fascinating. Looks like an alien land:).....

Ahaha true! No strange creatures found thow ;) Thanks for the mention!

I took this photo while I was at the Summer Palace in Beijing China. This was my favourite place to visit to escape the everyday hustle and bustle while I was working in Beijing. The pollution is pretty bad in the city and most days you can stare directly at the sun without it affecting your eyes

Hmm, that is sad that the pollution has gone that bad.

Yes it is a shame about the pollution😢

These are actually fireflies taken as a long exposure on a boat trip in Donsol in the Philippines. It's a pretty weird photo but thought i'd enter it as something a bit different. Let me know what you think!

Wow, how fascinating what you can capture with such a long exposure. Great job.

From the roof of an old building I captured this fantastic scene... A view over Old Dhaka's shipyard where anchor, chains and wrecked boat creates this amazing painting effect with apocalyptic colours!

A must see if you happen to be in Bangladesh!

Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh.

What a nice play! Well done.

Miyajima is located in Hiroshima Bay. Listed as one of the three most beautiful sites in Japan thanks to its floating torii and sacred shinto shrine that we see here at low tide, this sacred island is a tourist hotspot in the archipelago and it is worth a visit.

Temple on Mount Huashan, which is one of the five Great Mountains of China. There are a lot of temples on the mountain because it has a long religious tradition.

Jifuen, Taiwan
I took this photo 2015 in the mountain village Jifuen in Taiwan (About 2h away from Taipei City). What I really loved about this area was the foggy and mystic atmosphere in all those tiny alleys. Great spot for having food and a nice walk around!

Boudhanath Stupa - Kathmandu, Nepal

Two weeks ago, I found myself in Kathmandu, Nepal for a work trip and had the pleasure of staying near Boudhanath Stupa. One of the largest stupas in the world, this UNESCO site was badly damaged after the 2015 earthquakes. It took about a year and a half, but in late 2016 it re-opened to the public. If you go early or late, it will be crowded, but not with tourists - the locals come out in mass to circumambulate the stupa. Feel free to join them, but don't forget to only walk clockwise please!

The photo was taken from my post Sunset at Boudhanath Stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal.

This week i will share my monochrome pictures of karimun java which is an Indonesian archipelago in the Java Sea, It's known for Karimun Java National Park, a marine conservation area with mangrove forests, beaches and coral reefs. I took this picture after spending one day hopping island in those type of boats :)

Wonderful photography.

Congratulations @rinawonderlands

thank you @mirla33 ... that was the picture from last week :)
