Hello fellow Steemians!

I am starting the week #61 of my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge and we are back to the continent of Asia.

If you like to participate, place your personal image from your travels in Asia in the comment section below with a short 30 to 50 word description. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total. So far I have given out thousands of dollars in upvotes and hundreds of SBD in rewards.

After today´s Asian photo contest, the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge will be followed as per below rotation and then starting again with Asia on next Sunday.

• Monday: Australia and New Zealand
• Tuseday: Antarctica + the world’s oceans
• Wednesday: Africa

See the winner of the last week´s Asian Sunday @roadtrips with the following entry:

The city Yangshuo is located in the Guangxi province (China) where the Li river and Lijang river created an amazing landscape. This area is a perfect destination for recreation holidays.

Buddha Head in Ayutthaya, Thailand

Ayutthaya used to be the capital of a powerful empire, until the Burmese army burnt it to the ground in the 18th century. The site located just north of Bangkok features some interesting ruins that survived the fall of the ancient capital.

Now that sure is a very unusual tree!

A scene of everyday life in China. Bicycles are very popular way of transport (or at least when I visited China, some years ago). This photo was taken in Beijing, the bicycle was left in front the entrance of a traditional house there. I suppose that now days, this type of scenes are less frequent.

Thank you so much for your entry. Have a great day.

The Indian weather can reach very high temperatures, here in the middle of May the weather is really hot and locals are running away from the sun. I'm myself hiding under an arch from which I captured this image of life surrounding the Taj Mahal.

Location: Agra, India.

What a superb image, well done!

This is a place called McLeod Ganj, a suburb of Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh State of India.

With Himalayas in background, this place offers some stunning views. It is home to Dalai lama temple and it is ideal for people interested in meditation as it has a meditation centre.

Yep, those views from up there must be just out of this world. Have a good one.

A fish farm in Aceh Indonesia. I took this picture at sunset yesterday. For the people of Indonesia, this fish pond is to help the family economy. If you visit Aceh, you will get a lot of these fishponds.

Beautiful shot, thank you so much for sharing it with all of us.

Over the Moon

This evening we are returning to magic Dubai, UAE. With its even more magic Burj Khalifa, so far the tallest building on Earth (and looks like will be until they not build even higher there, which they already have plans for)

So, that was the moment when we was waiting for the Fountains Show and Laser Show start. Was the moon on the sky and got pretty nice and quite minimalistic composition. Shot handheld

Enjoy the scenery :)

Bagan, Myanmar
This imgage shows the beautiful nature shortly before the sunset in Bagan, Myanmar. Me and a couple of other guys from the hostel were exploring the area on electric scooters. Make sure to rent one of those when ever you are around!

Thank you so much for your participation and this wonderful image.

Thanks for the Support Tomas ! :))

The highlands of Bandung, Indonesia are abundant with tea plantations - pruned rolling hills of emerald that often wow visitors - so much so that this tour group ran childlike into the shrubs, snapping and posing as they moved.

Their colours were a great juxtaposition to the green of the tea leaves.

I have also posted this image on my page

Wow, so much green in one image. Great shot!

The Treasury - Petra Jordan.

We hiked up the mountain to get a birds eye view looking down at the famous Treasury, one of the 7 world wonders. We had a stray dog follow us all the way up the mountain, and at the top this cat was just chilling out in the desert.

This just an amazing place that I do have to visit one day.

It is definitely worth a visit !

Asia is home to some beautiful coral reefs, blessed with an array of colour and diversity. This particular one was between Ceningan Island and Nusa Penida, not far from Bali.

It is amazing how colorful the corals can get. Thank you so much for your submission.

Rice rice baby! Local people harvesting rice in Indonesia. I´ve visited a truly mesmerizing place called Jatiluwih, North of Bali, where you can see huge rice terraces with breathtaking views. There are several different treks you can take in the rice. You can clearly see subak irrigation ( Bali traditional water management system) for rice field awarded by UNESCO as World Heritage Cultural Landscape.

Chinese Dinner
We are loving eating a chinese meal with chopsticks. Here we enjoyed pineapple chicken, an eggplant casserole, bomboo shoots and rice. So delicous ;)

Taken on my recent trip to Japan. This is at Omihachiman, about an hour away from Kyoto. It was a bit of a pity that the famous red maple leaves hadn't quite arrived yet. I think a couple of weeks later it would have been so much more beautiful.

Open-Air Museum of Old Japanese Farm Houses in Osaka, Japan.
There are a dozen structures, scattered across nine acres park, mostly farmhouses, dated from the 17th to 19th centuries. We can enter most of them and see old farm tools, household objects and picture of better days.

Yurt, dog and the boy in Central Asia

yurt and boy.png
Yurts are the old way to live for the summer in the steppe of Central Asia. Warm in the night, cool in the day, wool keeps the elements out. Especially with a fire in the stove (keep the dung handy, no wood here). Dogs keep dangerous things at bay so the boys can come out to play! Welcome to Central Asia!

Hi, im new to the contest:

Hampi, India is a spiritual place with many ancient temples and beautiful scenery. This day was a holy festival where people bathe in the river and women lay out their Sari's to dry.
