in #travel7 years ago (edited)

Hello fellow steemians,

I am starting the week #7 of my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge and we are back to continent of Asia. If you like to participate then place your personal image from your travels within Asia in the comment section below with a short 30 to 50 word description. Only use of personal images will be accepted and the best 10 posts will get my upvote. I will then pick the best picture of that day that I will highlight in the separate post next day to bring the winner some extra publicity and personally visit the blog of that steemian and upvote his/her most recent post. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically be entered into other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 150 SBD in total.

This photo shows a night view of Hong Kong. The reflections of the light of the buildings can be seen on the water.
The photo was taken at Hong Kong Harbour, one of the most iconic places of this city. Some of the most important skyscraper of the city are located in this area.

What a great image of Honk Kong! Thank you so much for that!

The floating gardens at Inle Lake in Myanmar are incredible - the people in the small villages around the lake commute and transport things in these small boats. It is a peaceful, calm place and and definitely worth a visit if you're in Myanmar. I took this shot from another boat (much larger tourist boat). Apparently, 70% of the tomatoes in Myanmar are growth here.

Coron, Palawan

Ever wonder where the best island in the world is? It is located in the Palawan, Philippines. Imagine pristine, untouced and well preserved islands for the eyes to see. My first visit was back in 2011 and right away I fell in love with Palawan. I'm glad to say that I visited for a second time and hopefully third time will come soon.

What a fabulous image for the challenge. Thank you for sharing.

Great Wall of China
Arriving in Beijing late at night after 20 hours of travelling, we explored the Great Wall the next day. About 37 degrees Celsius, sunny, hazy but blue sky with some clouds. If you have the chance to see the Great Wall, check out some remote places about 30-60 minutes away from the main tourist spots! It's worth it!!!

I wish everyone a really good start into the week. "If Monday is not your favorite day of the week, you're doin' it wrong" 😃

Simply stunning!

Dubai is a fascinating place to me. The city is so new and modern with giant skyscrapers, but there still remains remnants of the bedouin culture started centuries ago. This picture was taken in the desert outside of Dubai where you can still find camels walking with their owners or resting at an oasis.

It was new year eve of 2017 when I was in Korea, Busan.

We went to the beach in the evening for a walk and saw this nice bridge. The sea was very calm at that moment, but the air quite cold. In any case, we enjoyed our time.

Great entry for the competition. Thank you so much for participating. Tomas

Sri Lanka is one of the most diverse countries there is. These are some of the views we encountered after we hiked to the World's End. Nuwara Eliye is a gem.

Thank you for taking part. Stay tuned for the winner announcement coming soon. Tomas

This is the beautiful place in himachal pradesh, actually this is known as meditation cave. I love to visit peaceful places, this is one of them. This was really a memorable jouney.

I have visited Dubai in the month of February this year. The below image is of Burj Khalifa, the tallest tower in the world. Just in front of it there is a fountain show, which is worth to watch at night.

I took this photo in Taiwan. This place is known as Meishan, or plum blossom mountain. It is a popular destination for photographers. I was amazed by the beautiful blossoms all along the slopes

It was one of most strenuous and physically challenging adventure I've embarked on. It was only my 2nd day in Nepal, I've arrived on the day of the potato festival (Maghe Sankranti). It was my first day of volunteer work with All Hands. I've only met everyone on base once, and we rounded a total of 13 people to go on an impromptu last minute camping trip. We hiked from Timbu, 1637 meters, straight uphill to Melamchiguan, 2591 meters with our backpacks + sleeping bag.

This is one of the many ruined temples along the way. I felt bittersweet towards the incredible powers of what Mother Earth can do.

This was taken at Gyeongbok Palace in South Korea. Gyeongbok Palace is where the King lived back in the Joseon Dynasty. The building in the picture is Gyeonghoeru Pavilion which is a hall used to hold important and special state banquets. Hope you like it!
