Hello fellow Steemians!

Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD!

Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Australia. I am also adding New Zealand to the same challenge as there were some concerns from other Steemians as to which continent NZ belongs to.

See the winner of the last week´s Australian Monday @josefinemk with the following entry:

This picture is quite special to me. I took it when @kryptocek and I went for a little winter hike at Lake Marian in Southland, New Zealand. We lived and worked in Milford Sound for 4 months and for the longest time we wanted to do this hike - but never got to because we lost our car in an accident and it was 40 minutes drive away. So one day we hitch hiked after work, did the hike, and hitch hiked back (right before it got dark and cars would stop coming). It was so worth it. I mean, look at this view :-)

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

Please see the winner of Asian Sunday and give him your support if you like his image to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for him by upvoting his winner announcement post below:

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #44 - winner announcement!

@crazy-andy Asian Sunday entry:

We get up early one day in the middle of last year’s September and it definitely paid off with good morning view on Mount Bromo in Indonesia. This volcano is still an active one and it has huge cultural influence on Indonesian people. Would say that sunrise at Mt. Bromo is a must see in traveler life

Waiotapu Thermal Wonderland is one of the many active geothermal areas in Rotorua, New Zealand where you can see majestic geological features caused by active volcanic activities. One of these features is called the Artist Palette, a mud flat/hot pool with a range of colours caused by different mineral deposits, dotted across the pool like paint on the artist Palette. It really looks magical, especially on a misty day where the whole place is shrouded with steam.

just spectacular ~ 🌟 ~

"Life on Rottnest"

Imagine Paradise.... What do you see? Beach, Water, ocean, crystal clear water... If this is your imagination, than here you go: Go to Rottnest Island on the shores off Perth, Western Australia. This Island is home to the weirdest Rat-Kangaroo species called the quokka. A cute and tiny something all over the island. Snorkelling, swimming, and quite peaceful hang out place. Shot with my Nikon D5300

Wow! The color combination is unbelievable.

Thanks. Tried something new ;) Wanted to combine sunsetfeeling and mid day- blueness of the ocean. Thanks for choosing my entry. Hope it will have a chance against all coming photos. Asia is incredibly good ;)
As always, thanks for hosting. Appreciate the contest and support as a newbie. Cheers,

dave

I love Rottnest, it is such a unique Island. Beautiful Image!

Thank you! I only spent a day... But quite worth the while. ;)

Really nice shot, the colors are great !

Thanks! Some lightroom magic That's all^^

Great shot! My wife @suitcasemama and I just did Western Australia (with our toddler no less!) but didn't make it to Rottnest Island. If this photo is any indication, we'll have to make sure to visit next time!

Well to be honest... If you go to rottnest or any other beach in WA... does not really matter. They are all pretty phenomenal... I am thinking.. Exmouth, margaret river etc... Up and down the coast there is plenty of other locations that can compete with rottnest. The time i took this picture, I was only in perth and could "only" do daytrips. Hence, I went to Penguin, rottnest, Pinnacles and so on and so forth. How's the toddler travelling going?

He did great, he loved camping! We went north because the weather was better - did Pinnacles, Sandy Cape, Karijini, Coral Bay, Quobba Station, Monkey Mia, Kalbarri, Geralton, a few more places. @suitcasemama did a series of three blogs detailing our adventures :)

I will check em out some time ;) Sounds about right! Great trip!

It was great. Really hard to come back to work after a trip like that! :)

I can imagine.

I'll follow for more of your posts! Thanks so much for the comment!

Atherton Tablelands

This Image is from our trip to the Atherton Tablelands, far north in Queensland, southwest of Cairns. We did a 4 weeks camping trip from the sunshine coast and stopped here for a few days. Beautiful Landscapes and many many Waterfalls.

Some stunning views. Thank you so much for your entry.

Hooker Valley Track, Aoraki Mt Cook National Park - New Zealand

Aoraki.jpg

You don't need to walk for days to find yourself immersed in stunning beauty in New Zealand. Aoraki Mt. Cook National Park's Hooker Valley Track, one of the South Island's most scenic day walks, has gorgeous mountain, glacier, and river views all within a 3-4 hour round trip hike.

What a beautiful image and stunning nature.

Sunset in Kakadu National Park

Kakadu National Park is famous for views like this spectacular sunset from Ubirr. I camped on a national park campground near Ubirr for a couple of days and was amazed by how easy it was to hitchhike around the park and back to Darwin!

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

Some spectacular views from up there. Stunning.

The Rockies. Not quite, although Cradle Mountain in Tasmania is pretty rocky – and not exactly a "wee hill" at 1,545 m (5,069 ft). This is a beautiful place to visit. Many of people across the world xome here to visit this beautiful place.
Tasmania's landscapes feature more exposed dolerite than anywhere else on Earth.

Thank you so much for your contribution. Have a great day. Tomas

Our last night on Kangaroo Island
As a last present, the sky above the American River Bay began to adorn the most beautiful colours, painting a splendid canvas for the black swans swimming next to the boats moored in the port.

Good morning Sydney!...

Early morning sun rays piercing through the clouds over the famous "Sydney Opera House" located in "the rocks". This photo was actually taken from the Sydney Harbour Bridge from which you can clearly get a nice view over the harbour.

The Savannah Way, is an Australian drive adventure, linking Cairns in the tropical North Queensland with the pearling town Broome in West Australia. A great drive through Australia's outback. Enjoy the beautiful colors and the enjoy the peace.

Thank you so much for your participation. Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on today.

Taken during the 2017 Vivid Sydney (and originally cropped for Instagram). We were so lucky to actually get a waterfront spot in front of the Opera House during that time, and even luckier to have space to set up a tripod. This was a 30-second exposure during the main lightshow
