7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Asian Sunday week #24 – winner announcement!
@racheleecious Asian Sunday entry:
This was taken last year when we go to a trip in Albay, Philippines. This is the perfect coned shape volcano, the Mayon Volcano. I took this picture because of the perfect reflection of its image in the ricefield with water. This volcano explodes last January 2018. Mayon is the one of the many tourist destination here in the Philippines.

@akirachang Australian Monday entry:
I took this photo at Brisbane story bridge. It is a heritage-listed steel cantilever bridge connecting northern and southern Brisbane. At night, the bridge's purple lights lit up half of the Brisbane river into a deep purple colour. Conjunction with the building light beside, It makes a great contrast at night. A really unique scenery in Brisbane Australia.

Morning on Praia do Pinhao in Lagos, Portugal. I wasn't sure I need to get off the bed that rainy morning and drive 30 km to this beach, but I glad I did it. A thin line of clear sky appeared on the horizon just in time to show let the rising sun enlighten everything around.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – African Wednesday week #24 – winner announcement!
@fjorenca African Wednesday entry:
This picture was taken at sunset in the Erg Chebbi dunes of Morocco. Our caravan stopped to enjoy the color transformations of the desert. Even my camel seemed to be admiring the sunset. I asked our berber guide if he ever gets sick of this view. He said "The desert is my home; this is where I feel that I belong."

Dresden by night
Just came home from work. But can't miss todays contest before bedtime.
Dresden as mentioned before is a wonderful city to visit. Old buildings, great history, a lot to explore and the river Elbe of course. You see the opera house by night in that shot. We didn't see a play inside but booked a guided tour which tells a lot about the history, different plays/operas and fun facts about the building.
Have a great night!
You do have a great collection of images from Dresden!
Thanks Tomas:) Yes indeed but it takes more and more time to get through all the saved images and pick out the gems.
Hallstatt, Austria. Coming down from the Salzburg mountain behind the town, you can follow a winding path down the mountain side and gives you an incredible view of Lake Hallstatt, and the Hallstatt township down below. It's pretty cool to see the town from above like this, as if it is perching against the side of the mountain, and the tiny sharp roofs make the houses look like toy buildings.
What a scenery! Absolutely stunning! Thank you so much for sharing with all of us!
The Ardila river is one of the natural borders between the two Iberian countries, Portugal and Spain, more precisely, between the regions of the lower Alentejo (south of Portugal) and Andalusia (southern Spain). This photo was taken from the top of the walls of an abandoned castle, on the portuguese side.
Thanks ever so much for your fabulous contribution. Absolutely stunning views!
Thanks Tomas :) Cheers!
Beautiful St. Wolfgang at the Wolfgangsee in Austria. Above it thrones the imposing Schafberg whichs snowy mountain top reflects a bright moon that iluminates uprising storm Clouds. The storm meant even deeper snow and it was a real hassle to get through it.
Looks little spooky:)
A friend of mine walking right on the edge of a canyon cliff over the gorgeous sunset scenery from Iceland in the background. This photo is an inspiration to explore more and live new adventure, looking at it makes me want to jump back in a plane :)
Enjoy...
Location: Iceland.
Thanks ever so much for your submission! What an image!
You are most welcome, thanks to you for the support you give to the all of us :)
This is a photo taken in Russia, specifically in the red square of Moscow, where it is shown to the Cathedral of St. Basil, at night it looks much more spectacular than in the day, this is a very famous cathedral, mostly because of its domes in the shape of a bulb, for us tourists. But without a doubt it is a very beautiful place.
Thank you so much for your contribution! Great entry, fabulous image!
thank you very much!
Northern Lights brighten the night at Dverghamrar, Iceland. One of the best displays of Aurora that I've ever seen: the motion was incredible. I spent all night driving and stopping in different places, eventually ending up at Jökulsárlón.
Wow! that is amazing! The trees on a photo from Iceland! )
Thank you! Haha! Yes! These are the only seven trees to be found on the island!
(Kidding - there are actually a lot of trees, you just don't see them grouped up very often).
I hope one day I will be able to experience this myself not only through your images:)....
I sure hope so! It's well worth the effort. Of course it won't be as colourful as this because the camera can expose for a longer time than the eye, but the motion will blow you away if you see a good display like this!
amazing picture!! you had so many beautiful aurora pictures :)
Thank you! I got a whole bunch that one night. :)
The arabic Alhambra Palace in Granada in Spain is one of the most-visited tourist attractions in Europe. It was build more than 1000 years ago. The architecture is really breathtaking with beautifully crafted fountains and pillars...
What a magnificent place! Great sharing!

A beautiful Lake Bondhusvatnet in Folgefonna National Park, Norway. I wanted to see this place from the moment I saw the photos planning our trip to Norway. And it was even better in real.
awesome shot. such a clear water
Thanks! Direct deliveries from glacier!
Wow! Just beautiful!
Thank you Tomas!
Last Year I went to the Baltic Sea in East Germany and visited this monumental, colossal Nazi-planned Building at Prora.
The enourmous building complex is 4.5 kilometers (2.8 mi) in length, and was built around 1936. It was called Strength Through Joy (Kraft durch Freude or Kdf) project.
The eight identical buildings were planned as a holiday beach resort, they were never used for this purpose. The complex is an example of Third Reich architecture.
Designed by Clemens Klotz, who won a design competition overseen by Adolf Hitler's chief architect Albert Speer, all rooms were planned to overlook the beach. There were communal toilets, showers and bathrooms on each floor.
Clevedon Pier
After a day in the Severn Beach village, I wished to go to the Clevedon Pier to watch the sunset. Unfortunately, the pier was already closed for visitors and the thick blue clouds were building up over the sun. So, we ended up staying on the shore and watching the sky turn a little pink and yellow.
As to the pier - the most beautiful I have ever seen! It is a listed building with a small fee to enter! It is situated on the river Severn and one could see Welsh hills on the other side while still being in England.
That sure is a beautiful pear and you have captured it very well! Thank you so much for your contribution. Tomas
Thank you so much!
Rhodes is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Greece. In a photo I captured The mediaeval Old Town, the port of Mandraki, which is located in the city of Rhodes. It serves exclusively international traffic consisting of scheduled services to/from Turkey, cruise ships and yachts.
A lone hiker crosses the moss filled marsh below Vierranvarri and Toppslugan on the trail up towards Kebnekaise. The marsh lies within the Arctic circle in the Scandinavian Mountains (Scandes) at 67°53″ North. Lapland, Sweden.

A sunset shot of Paris (France) taken from the Montparnasse Tower. This is a popular location for watching the sunset with an incredible view of the city. The day I took this picture the weather had been foggy and rainy, but just in time for the sunset the clouds swirled away letting the light filter over the city.

Beautiful view and such a luck with the weather!
I waited for 3 days for the weather to get better. On the last evening of my trip I went on the tower expecting to see only clouds until the sunset but, as you said, I was lucky :)
Hehe ) That is another case I think. As Jefferson said "I’m a great believer in luck. The harder I work, the more luck I have"
I took this incredible photo while hiking in Rigi Switzerland. This hike was the second while in Switzerland and somehow not the best. The views of Rigi are something special as you can see lakes, beaches, forests, plains and mountains all in one shot.
For today I have another post from my recent business trip to France, Rouen. On the photo we can see a narrow street that leads to the main dominant of Rouen - Notre-Dame Cathedral. It's really a huge building that can not really be taken in one shot. It is built in early Gothic style.

The Amazing Village of Riomaggiore in Italy
Riomaggiore is one of the villages of Cinque Terre in the La Spezia region of Italy. This isn’t the first time I’ve visited the Cinque Terre. I was here in 2013 but only visited Vernazza. I was so impressed with how easy it was to photograph the place that I had to come back. This time I made sure I visited all 5 of the special villages.
This village sits adjacent to the ocean just like Vernazza. There's a footpath here called Via dell'Amore and it connects Riomaggiore to Manarola. I stayed at a hostel here but only for a night, it was a bit expensive.
You can stay in a neighboring town outside the Cinque Terre and it's much cheaper. You just have to take the train into the area, which is frequent and convenient.
Photo was taken almost exactly one year ago on my travel through amazing Iceland. Our main goal was to be witness of magnificent phenomenon Aurora Borealis. It was a cold and windy night I remember and we were at some other place at first, but light was not the best and then we came to Skogafoss where this amazing scenery awaited us.

Atomium is one of the landmark building in Brussels. Modelled on an iron atom that has been magnified 165 billion times, it consists of nine metal spheres which are held in place by interconnecting corridors. The structure weighs 2,400 tons and is 102m in height, and each sphere has a diameter of 18 meters.
I took this image during spring time in Belgium. All the flowers were blooming, and so colorful :)
Region of tuscany, Italy sure is a picture that everyone would take to be walking through this place, but in a post I made of love in Italy, I put 3 magical places for me, where love and peace shine in their greatest splendor, fulfilling dreams in a family trip ... this legendary tower is the bell tower of the cathedral of Pisa ...
italy makes us fall in love with its food and its beautiful architecture
Antoni Gaudí (1852-1926) has been one of the most influential architect in the XX century. His most well known work is the unfinished Church La Sagrada Familia.
In this photo I show Casa Batlló in Barcelona. It is a very important building of him, since the main elements of his architecture are present in this building.
I have no pictures but soon I will visit some place and participate in a contest
Colmar during the Winter is like being in a fairy tale. If you half-close your eyes and ignore the signs of the 21st century, you can go back in time.
Very narrow spiral staircase in the Isaakievsky Cathedral. There are a lot of steps upstairs to the observation deck. Probably the best views of St. Petersburg. You can remove all this in only one way. The fisheye lens in such places works wonders. Half a meter of space is converted into a vast passage.

Awesome pictures dear

One of my favourite places to photograph and it is only 30 min drive from my home in Vilnius, Lithuania. It was -18 Celsius outdoors and I decided to visit this waterfall. I thought it will be completely frozen, because the stream there is not very harsh, but to my amazement I found a beautiful view. It was half frozen with lots of ice around the stream. Enjoy.
It's a breathtaking view of salzburg City @czechglobalhosts. I have never seen before. I am so grateful for your amazing blog that is very unique and fabulous for the photo challenge.
The beautiful countryside of the Lake District in the UK, now a World Heritage Site! It's one of the most amazing places in the UK, if not the World, with rolling hills and lakes to explore!
Ilullisat - the city and the administrative center in Greenland. In translation from Greenlandic of ILULLISAT means ICEBERGS.
After the week-long voyage across Greenland we have come to the port of this city. Having woken up in the morning and having looked at the gulf, it became absolutely clear to us why the city so is called:)
Today I share my photograph that consists of a beautiful view in Madeira. As some know the origin of this and its islands is volcanic. Many visitors from Europe visit them throughout the year, looking for the softness of their climate and, of course, the beautiful landscapes they have.
Wow that's a beautiful photography. It's really amazing place. I appreciate you. Such a great contest. Wish you avery happy and bright future.
I am inspired. I am definitely gonna take part in future competitions here. I love what I'm seeing
The photo with many sailboats background was taken in the place called Norra Hammen Marina at Helsinborg in Sweden. It´s very peaceful place for night walking. The city center is within walking distance as well as many restaurants and cafés at the place Tropical beach named due to its palms.

The Palace of Pena, Sintra, Portugal is emblematic of the region. It was created by Ferdinand II. The park around it is composed of at least five hundred different species of trees that come from all around the world. Here, we can admire the details of the gargoyle and turret.
Wow! Nice post. Amazing pics @czechglobalhost.
This Photo was taken in Barcelona last summer.
I'm madly in love with this city! All this little cute streets, the people and the good food. I will definetely go there again.
One of the most awesome things in Barcelona was the Castell de Montjuïc. :)
this pictures are top notch....so loving it, mostly the first one..what city is that?
Very good.
I took this photo when we went on a tour in Ocean City, Maryland last year. This place is so beautiful. Those who went to know that the place is very good. Hope you enjoy this picture. I want to win this competition.
The Arrifana Beach is located in the municipality of Aljezur, in the Portuguese Algarve. You can see its emblematic rock located in the middle of the sea. On the other hand, this beautiful beach is a perfect place to practice your favorite water sport.
Unique wooden architecture in Jurmala (Latvia): these houses are amazingly beautiful, and under the protection of UNESCO.
Lizard Point in Cornwall is at the southern tip of the Lizard Peninsula (UK). The rare geology of the area creates a haven for exceptional plants and flowers. In the photo you can see "The Lizard Lifeboat Station".
