@jpphotography Asian Sunday entry:

The Malaysian island Langkawi is an amazing place to explore by scooter! After one day of driving around the island, I found myself looking at this beautiful sunset, so I stopped on the roadside to capture the silhouette of this mosque in the last light of the day.

@intrepidphotos Australian Monday entry:

The Natural Bridge is a naturally formed rock arch over Cave Creek, a tributary of the Nerang River. It was formed from a waterfall which undercut a cave beneath the waterfall and dug a pothole on top, until the two joined and the creek flowed through the cave, leaving an arch across the front. The bridge is located in Springbrook National Park in the Gold Coast hinterland of Queensland, Australia.

@mibreit-photo African Wednesday entry:

Something from the beautiful Seychelles again. I had the pleasure to visit La Digue for the second time a few weeks ago. Anse Source D'Argent was one of the beaches I came to for sunset every second day until I got a photo I was satisfied with. No blazing sunset, but a beautiful, calm blue hour.

Pont Van Gogh is a replica of the Langlois Bridge in Arles, France. The original bridge was made famous by Vincent van Gogh in several paintings he made while living in Arles in 1888. The Langlois Bridge was replaced in 1930, but that replacement was destroyed during WWII. This replica of the original bridge was created in recognition of Van Gogh's famous works. And personally, it was an incredibly lovely experience to witness a sunrise in this special location.

The colors in the sky are great.

From Tower.jpg

The Florence Cathedral, Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore, is the third largest catholic church in the world, and is a major landmark of Florence. It is also here that the Renaissance allegedly started in the 1400s, where the chief architect Brunelleschi successfully engineered and completed the large dome, sparking a chain of innovation and arts that prospered for the next two centuries. Today, we can climb the bell tower beside the cathedral and admire the beautifully designed dome, as well as a good view of the city of Florence.

Beautiful capture from the tower! The dark clouds make your picture so moody. Florence is a marvel. I want to go there again. And I just posted a photo from Italy too! :)

Thanks Donica! Yeah, I love your photo, the golden colour is just so beautiful!

This is such a great shot. I agree with @itchyfeetdonica. The clouds add such a cool mood to the picture.

Thank you, glad you liked it. I liked the clouds a lot as well!

What a great place, what a stunning image!

Thank Tomas!

I took this picture in a plane shortly after it took off from the airport of Turin, Italy. I had to get up very early to catch the flight, but it was worth it when I got to see this fantastic view: the snow-capped Alps and all those red-roofed houses were bathing in the golden rays of sunrise. Torino is the first capital city of Italy, best known for its stately baroque buildings, grand squares and... the aperitivo!

Awesome array of colors in this shot. Great job!

Hmm, that sure does look beautiful!

Such amazing golden colour!

Winter morning view to the port (Klaipeda, Lithuania) and container terminal from the window of my office (8th floor). Amazing colors of a humid cold air.
Long tele-photo lens used to compress the perspective a lot

Enjoy it!

Even a busy working port looks amazing in your image:)

This is the medieval village of Castelo de Vide, photographed from the top of the main tower of its ancient castle! This small yet beautiful place is located in the heart of Serra de São Mamede Natural Park, deep inside the Alentejo region, southern Portugal.

Hmmm, I love that... It does look like back home:)

I took this photo in the wonderful Real Alcázar (royal palace) in Sevilla. This place features wonderful architecture and equally beautiful gardens! No wonder it was chosen as the filming location for the water gardens of Dorne in Game of Thrones.

I thought that looked a little bit familiar. Great shot! That would be so cool to visit.

Great shot! Looks like an amazing place to visit! Maybe one day:)

I woke up yesterday and I saw the reflection of the mountains in the water and I just had to run to the water to take this picture. I passed this spot in The Lyngen Alps in Norway a lot of times and never was the water so still and the reflection so beautiful.

20180418_095308-02.jpeg

wow, this is an amazing photo. Great job.

That must me really something to wake up to this! Great click!

There are places like no other in the world.
The "vallée de l'ibie" is one of them, a place where you can walk along the river or within the water to find wonderful spots to rest and enjoy the simple things of life.

Location: Ardèche River, France.

Beautiful shot. I love the little glow of orange in the sky to add some warmth.

Thank you :)

Summer lights are always nice, especially when you are in place like that at the right time!

What a wonderful place and a stunning image. Thank you so much for your submission. Tomas

Thank you Tomas, as always submitting my photos are always a pleasure :)

The bay of Kotor in Montenegro, named after this small, medieval town, is often called Europe's southernmost fjord, but in fact it's a submerged river canyon. There is a steep hiking trail behind the city of Kotor that leads to amazing viewpoints like this one:

DSC04181.JPG

Amazing shot. There is so much to look at in this. The full resolution shot is awesome. Hopefully others open it instead of looking at the thumbnail.

Thanks a lot! 😊

Oh, I love Kotor! Especially coming there on the cruise ship is just an amazing experience. I would go back there in the heart beat.

Must be awesome by cruise ship! I went there by car, was also pretty cool to drive along the coastline of this unique bay! 🙂

Plovdiv is considered the oldest inhabited city in Europe. Beneath the 7 hills, one can find Roman ruins, Ottoman mosque, Russian monuments. It is the most beautiful city in Bulgaria and the best thing to do in summer is to grab a beer, sit on the ruins with the locals and enjoy the sunset.

Thank you so much for submitting this amazing image to my contest!

That piece of sun poking through the clouds looks so awesome. Great shot.

Thank you :) I checked your profile and website. :) You are really talented :)

Hey, thank you for the compliment!

Sunset from the town of Punta del Hidalgo in Tenerife. In the far distance, that's Teide volcano, the heart of the island and Spain's tallest mountain. On this particular day, the island was wrapped by "Calima," a phenomena when sand dust is blown all the way from the Sahara and it hangs over the island for days like a blanket. The result was a very dusty sunset sky.

What a colors! Stunning!

Dean Village is one of the most special places in Edinburgh is the picturesque neighborhood of Dean Village (also known as Water of Leigh Village), which seems straight out of a story. Located on the banks of the River Leith, Dean Village has some little houses typical of any village in the mountains, but a short walk from the center of Edinburgh.

And almost skipped this beach! It was on our last day of a 4 day road-trip and we already seen so many amazing things that day (including some other beaches) so we were like why go hike 30 minutes to see one more. Well, I'm glad we did because this beach was STUNNING!

Netley Abbey.jpg

Netley Abbey is a ruined late medieval monastery in the village of Netley near Southampton in Hampshire, England. The abbey was founded in 1239 as a house for monks of the austere Cistercian order. The abbey was used as a country house until the beginning of the eighteenth century, after which it was abandoned and partially demolished for building materials.

This would be such a cool place to wander around. Great shot.

The Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia’s most popular tourist attraction, is a UNESCO
World Heritage. I had the good fortune of travelling to Croatia in May 2014. The Plitvice Lakes are a must-see in Croatia. The beauty of the National Park lies in its sixteen lakes, inter-connected by a series of waterfalls, and set in deep woodland populated by deer, bears, wolves, boars and rare bird species. The Park covers a total area of 300 square kilometres, whilst the lakes join together over a distance of eight kilometres. Here is a shot of two lakes taken from a vantage point near our hotel.

Thank You.

Today I share an image of the Palace of the Parliament of Catalonia, is located in the park of the Ciudadela, in Barcelona, Spain. It is the seat of the Parliament of Catalonia, an institution inheriting from the old Catalan Cortes. This is a building with an imposing architecture and a convulsive history that goes back to the XVIII century, when it was built as a military arsenal of the repressive Ciutadella. The parliamentary functions of the building were acquired with the advent of democracy and the recovery of liberties. It is one of the most historical places in Spain.

This is an old photo from my high school France/Spain trip. It's one I was always proud of. Someday I'd like to go there again and recreate it with my Sony A7. I remember the first time seeing the Eiffel Tower, we were coming around a corner and I saw this glittering reflection of something on a building and I didn't know what it was...and then it hit me. I raced around the corner and there she was out in the open glittering at me. What a beautiful site.

The Alhambra fortress in Granada , Spain, seen from the El Mirador de San Nicolas. Sierra Nevada mountains in the background.

This UNESCO World Heritage site attracts a lot of people and allows you to walk along the river by observing old windmills over 300 years old. These 19 mills are part of a network designed to go up useful drainage water, and preserve the habitable area.
Preferably visit by bike and in good weather.

Kinderdijk-Nerthlands.

Amazing colors and light! One previous Thursday I submitted a photo of the same place. =) Was this also taken at sunset when everything was closed?

Yeah! ;)

Hi! I am waiting for you to get in touch with me: [email protected]

Thank you!

@czechglobalhosts Okay..It s done.

The Hundertwasser House is one of the most visited and from my point of view, architecturally most interesting highlight not only of Vienna, but whole Austria. The house was designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser. The details of processing and the coloring of the facade are unique!
Ahoj!

The cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris seems to be hiding modestly behind the trees. The whole edifice is quite a sight to behold, but when only part of it is unveiled, your eye is drawn to details that you wouldn't normally notice. What strikes me is how the exquisitely delicate designs lend a remarkable lightness to such an imposing structure and make it a divine incarnation of beauty.

lovely sky :)

fantastic Pics but I can,t participate because I have no Photos

Seine River, Paris

Hi @czechglobalhosts,
Why you ignore my shots?!!

This shot is from Parga, an amphitheatrically built city in north-western Greece that lies on the Ionian coast. Along with the rocky coast and the colourful houses we can see the town’s castle, reminder of a long and turbulent history.

Beautiful shot. I love the colors in the water.

Jakabov palace in Košice is one of the top building in this region. The green roof is superb. The building belongs to first-class National Cultural Monuments, and, with its architecture, put into actual millieu, draws attention not only local inhabitants, but also tourists, visiting Košice. If you are in Košice, then go to this Palace, because you'll not regret.

Lord's cricket stadium where the sports is at its best. Never felt so much pride in watching the gentlemen game and my team Pakistan winning this test match.

Despite the fact that it is spring in The Netherlands, today it seemed like summer. So I cycled to the beach of Burgh Haamstede. The lighthouse looked so beautiful today. What a great day.

Lisbon, Portugal. Hidden in numerous corners and shadows, you can find an astonishing amount of street art. This is on the way to the castle of São Jorge, in a narrow, steep street in form of stairs.

This is the beautiful city Istanbul - Turkey :) I was there in the right time to capture the sunset and these lovely colors. Different Ferries and the lovely seagulls. This photo was taken last summer. I enjoyed every moment there, the food and the nice architectures.

Switzerland! I took this photo on the border with Switzerland and Italy just before the first snows set in. A beautiful place with an awesome friend of mine.

Even though he was a puppy, you can see he likes to climb!
