@travelshots Asian Sunday entry:
The Marina Bay Sands Hotel is one of Singapores landmarks. Unfortunately it's allowed only for hotel guests to relax at the infinity pool on the top. Nevertheless it's possible for everyone to buy a ticket for the "Skypark" that is located right next to the pool. So you can enjoy the same breathtaking view of Singapores skyline from there!

@mibreit-photo Australian Monday entry:
Dinosauer Eggs at Moeraki beach.. Or mayby just uniquely formed rocks?? In any case it's a extraordinary location with all those round boulders littering the sand. The morning I visited I was even lucky with the light and got those beautiful pastle colors.

@softa Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:
The island of Tenerife is a great place to shoot seascape photography because it lies in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. So the only thing that can block your pictures are just clouds. That's one of the reasons why I come back every year, and every time I bring pictures like this one.

@travelingmom African Wednesday entry:
A colorful Sunset in Madagascar mesmerizes us with the artistic richness of a impressionist painting. The water picks them up, to remix them into a powerful symphony of shapes and hues that surround us on all sides. Marvelous!

Two years ago, I had a chance to visit Geneva, Switzerland. Of course, one of the things on my list to see was the United Nations Office, the second largest of the four behind the UN Headquarters in NYC. This is the Allée de Nations (Avenue of Nations), the country flags for every member of the United Nations, in front of the Geneva United Nations Palace. And no, I cannot correctly identify every country flag but I feel like it's something I should be able to do!
Civita di Bagnoregio is a old town that was built on top of a hill in Lazio, Italy, and can be reached by bus from Orvieto. It used to be a prosperous town up until the 16th Century, when earthquake and erosion slowly eat away the plateau and population starts to move to the nearby Bagnoregio area. Today, it is known as the dying town as hardly anyone lives there anymore.
I've been there! It's mostly tourists walking around, but it really is spectacular to see in person. Great shot!
Yes! We only see tourist around, didnt really see any locals apart from the shop keepers within the Civita. It is pretty amazing though, the view and the old buildings
Very spectacular view!
Thank you! Glad you liked it
Such an amazing image. Thank you so much for that.
Thanks Tomas!
Love the pic, but I want to see the full thing!!!

Wow thats another beautiful shot from Scotland.
Thank you !
What a wonderful shot! Thank you so much for your participation. Tomas
Thank you so much Tomas!
There is nothing like camping under the midnight sun. Mt Rusjka (1708m) and Unna Ruskkas (1477m) in the background sit at 67°52" N is well within the Arctic Circle in the Scandinavian Mountains (Scandes) in Swedish Lapland. The camp (let me know if you can see the tent!) is along the Kungsleden, or King's Trail, which is a hiking trail in the far north of Sweden that is approximately 440-kilometre (270 mi) long. It passes through one of Europe's largest remaining wilderness areas.

Wow, those colors are just something else. Great job as always.
Welcome to Europe's answer to Hawaii: The Acores!
The Acores are located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and are the most western point of Europe. A very small but therefore very green and natural island is Flores with its beautiful waterfall Poço da Alagoinha.
Oh, that just looks unspoiled. Absolutely wonderful.
Yes it really is unspoiled and I hope it will stay so forever ;)
Such an awesome pic!!! Never believed there can be this type of landscape in Acores!
Yes, it is really an awesome place with so much untouched nature.
Yeap, and I checked your blogging. Actually nice posts, will start following you.
Here you can see a boathouse in a small lake in beautiful Berchtesgaden in Germany. The lake is called Obersee and is located right next to the Königssee. It had rained on the day and the sight was overwhelming
Welcome to the challenge. You have mad quite an entrance with this image. Absolutely wonderful. Tomas
Many Thanks!
Best regards Maik
Looks like a wonderful place to visit. Thank you so much for sharing.
The Louvre is the Art Museum in Paris, one of the largest in the world. Housed in the Palais du Louvre Palace, the former residence of the French kings. More than 8 million visitors visit him every year, so taking pictures without people goes only late at night. When I took this photo, it was around midnight and it rained, which reduced the number of people to one and me.
Thank you so much for your participation with this amazing entry. Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement. Tomas
I have really quite huge experience of catching colourful stunning sunset at the Baltic Sea coastline. But sometimes even me getting amazed again.. and again
So that was the case yesterday evening at Curonian Spit, Lithuania. Phenomenal and phantasmagorical skies to all the directions. Staying between two big storm fronts still catching the bloody colors of sunset
And more over, another rope found on the beach, still remaining half under sand from December storms times and giving unbelievable color contrast to all the picture
Enjoy it!

You absolutely do. I hav to come closer to you to see those myself:)
I am a sunset lover and yesterday I was lucky enough to witness one of the most beautiful ones I have ever seen. We are still in the North of Norway, this time we are on the island of Uloya and the low tide allowed me to almost walk into the middle of the fjord. The colours were insane and there is no filter on this image. I took a lot of pictures, but this is my favourite one. Cheers
You have managed to capture some real beauty. Thank you for sharing.
Schiessentümpel Waterfall
The Schiessentümpel is a small tri-part waterfall on the Black Ernz river at the heart of the Mullerthal Region - Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland.
A lovely rock and wood bridge has been built over the gorge, making it a favorite location for locals and tourists.
What an amazing entry. Thank you so much for that. Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on today. Tomas
Thank you Tomas :)
It is a lovely place not so far from my home. Usually very crowded but I went there early in the morning to get the shot without tourists.
Btw, I admire your competitions - quite some commitment to do all of this every day.
Cinque Terre, also known as The Five Lands, are 5 little villages hanging on cliffs on the Ligurian coast of Italy. They really have everything going on for them: the beautiful Mediterranean, wonderful architecture and the mesmerizing dry stone vineyard terraces dating as far back as the 11th century, cultivated along the sides of the mountains. Despite the difficult terrain, it is easy to understand why people would have chosen this place to settle in.
Berlin to SPO
Last year in November we made a short vacation during my Birthday at SPO - St. Peter Ording located at the North Sea in Germany. It is a real quite place and good for relaxing. You get through the Sea Bridge during the times of ebb access to the Beach. There are only fixed times where you could get there because of the incoming flood. A surreal like Place which reminds me on a bad weather day of a moon landscape.
I love the picture I took from the Bridge, it looks like the Bridge having no end...
Plitvice Lakes
I want to present a photo of the national park "Plitvice Lakes". It is well known that this is the national park of Croatia.
The park features a cascade of 16 lakes connected by waterfalls, and a limestone canyon. Lakes are also connected by pedestrian paths. Here you can ride an electric boat cruising between 12 upper and 4 lower lakes.
Croatia rocks! Have been there many times, really amazing country!
Granada is a beautiful city with a rich history in Andalusia, Spain. Besides the well-known Alhambra there's a lot more to discover. You can explore the tiny streets of the old city center and walk around for hours... When you go to the higher parts you have a nice view over the city...

This is Praia do Areal on the west coast of Portugal. It's not a particularly popular or well-known beach, attracting a mostly local crowd and surfers - however it is certainly one of my favourites and the sunsets are almost always spectacular. I shot this with a polarising filter to intensify the colours but other than that it is minimally edited.
The Seine-Paris
As soon as night falls, when the sun sets, the capital changes its face: the streets light up, the monuments light up, the Eiffel Tower sparkles ... Paris really bears its name of City Light!
Paris city light, Paris by night, Paris can also be visited at night. In addition, shows, restaurants and bars, you can also enjoy the illuminations of many buildings to discover the capital under a different aspect from the one we know him the day.
Salzburg is the capital and also a district of the Austrian state of Salzburg or Salzburgerland. Its most famous citizen was Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In the image you can see the St Peter's Abbey that is a Benedictine monastery and former cathedral. It is considered one of the oldest monasteries in the German-speaking area, and in fact the oldest with a continuous history since its foundation in 696.
Diving in the Ardèche river canyon from a high point of view. The diversity of the French landscape is quite stunning and if you travel through you might find yourself mind blown. Find almost every country within France :)
Location: Archeche river, France.
It was a visit to Austria, Vienna . The precise place of our visit was the Schönbrunn palace. Right from there we had a stroll in the town which gave us a special and perculiar feeling. We then spotted a restaurant which was raised high on the last floor of a very tall storey building. It was a moment to have fun after enjoying the beautiful environs of Vienna:)
This panoramic view over Sevilla can only be seen from one place: La Giralda, which is what the clock tower of Sevilla's cathedral is called. Originally, this tower was built as the minaret of a mosque during the Moorish reign of the Iberian peninsula and rebuilt into the tower of the cathedral after the Reconquista.
Hi @czechglobalhosts, thanks for putting on such awesome contests! I'm looking forward to entering many of them.
Quick question though, our "entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time" but when, exactly? Like, what day? Do you mean that all the entries for the week need to be submitted by 8am the next Thursday? Or is the only the one day available for them to be submitted? Any clarification is greatly appreciated.
Hi, only one day for the submission for the particular challenge. I usually make the post for that day (for example - North American Friday) around 11:00 AM - those time change based on my schedule and all the participants have until 8:00 AM for their submissions from which I choose winning images. No need to worry if you miss that day since the challenge is ongoing and you can submit again next week. Hope that helps. I hope to see some of your entries soon. Tomas
Thanks so much for your reply @czechglobalhosts, and your vote! My apologies for the delayed response, I'm still finding my way around here.
It is helpful to know the usual time you post, so thank you for that, unfortunately though I'm still not quite clear. If you post at 11am how can people enter by 8am? Do you mean 8am the next day?
Sorry to be a pain, just want to make sure I can enter as many contests as possible! Cheers. James
Berlin, Kaulsdorfer See
Going down to the city lake side in winter isn't usually that exiting but you will be all by yourself except some feathered locals which might come close out of curiosity.
Photo taken at Wartburg Castle (Thuringia, Germany). In this castle, Martin Lutero sought refugee, after he was excomuogated by Pope Leon X. He stayed there from 1521 to 1522. During this time he translated the New Testament from Greek to the German.
My entry is a morning shot from a tiny Greek island!
Halki is part of the Dodecanese group of islands and the smallest inhabited one. Since it is just 4 miles west of Rhodes it is common among tourists to visit it for a day trip although it's a hidden paradise for people seeking quietness and relaxation!
Captured this photograph last year in London loved how the weather uplifted the surroundings indeed London is a global city with great architectural masterpieces.
Hi, you are short on word description to be considered for the contest. Than you for your understanding. Tomas
Madrid, Puerta de Alcala
Please click to zoom in
I took this photo during a weekend visiting Madrid. I don't use to visit big city, but at this time I discovered how much I like taking long exposure photos playing with lights that only a big city can have.
Even without a properly tripod (I used a garbage basket on the street instead) I'm satisfied with this shot :) .
Any advice or comment are appreciate.
Nice photo! Can’t wait to visit Europe!!!
Looking natural sea land
Hi,
This is my entry for this contest.
Europe is considered as an old continent, or the continent of peace. Dove is also considered as peaceful symbol. We can see a lot of doves in every squares, every plaza in the whole Europe, to feel that how the European loves animals, loves nature and lives friendly with nature. This photo was taken in Plaza de Espana de Catalonia, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. My friend was so exciting at this time. She also loves nature so much. I can feel happiness in her face. It is hard to find the same feeling like this in another continent in the world.
Best,
My entry is from amazing city Madrid.. I took a double-decker the city tour bus..I explored the whole city from the top of bus. This was my shot from there. I think it is a governmental building but I don't know what exactly is. But it is so magnificent with the flags and architecture in front..
Would you like know what this crazy building is? The name is obvious and it tells you a lot - De Blob Eindhoven. I haven't been inside the building, but it must be as crazy as it's from the outside. PS. In Eindhoven was founded well-known technology company, Philips.
Ahoj!
Spring came to Europe and it is beautiful. I took the picture yesterday in one of the parks in Sofia. There was a place with thousands of dandelions and it looked amazing. Then two dogs came by to play in the middle...
The Louvre in Paris is the hugest museum I've ever been to, I spent their about 6 hours just to stroll through it once. I found this artist copying a painting from the wall, as I needed some rest from all the walking I decided to watch him for a bit. I was amazed how accurate and good his painting was compared to the original. I hope he found the success he deserves already!
Thanks for the opportunity.
My Entry:
Today I bring you to the old streets of Split in Croatia. In split you have new houses that are actually inhabited, placed right next and in between old roman structures. You should really visit the Diocletians Palace. It's a World Heritage Site of the UNESCO. Click the picture for more images. Cheers!
Photo taken walking among one of the top of the cliffs close to Riva di Manerba. (between Monega and Manerba del Garda). The south-western part of Lake Garda Italy in province of Brescia).
Hello! Please add at least a 30 word description to your image in order for it to be considered for the contest.
Fair enough I will
This is one of my favorite pictures I took while hiking around Switzerland. This photo was taken at the base of Mt. Rigi just outside of the town of Lucerne. I have shared other photos from Rigi in the past and I can't say enough good things about. Simply put this is one of the most beautiful places on the planet.
wow
These are the majestic mountains of Tyrol, glowing in the sun like the winter castle of a ice queen. It's interesting to know that there are two Tyrols in Europe, one is Austria, where they speak german, the other one in Italy where they speak mainly italian.
Fountain
I love the close-ups from some of the fountains in Europe. This one is from the a fountain in Rome. The evil looking geese make it especially nice, don't you think?

Diabaig, Scotland. The remnants of a discarded fishing vessel seem to leap out of the water like the fish it once caught. Diabaig (pronounced Dear-beg) is a small fishing/farming village with maybe 10 homes, but still has one of the best restaurants in Scotland.
So beautiful travel and Photography.

This photo from Lisbon. Protugal.
I came to this place for several days and made more than 100 pictures in attempts to catch the desired tram of the right color, so that the sun was located in the right place.
