See the winner of the last week´s European Thursday @photovisions with the following entry:
Norway - Epic view from Romsdalstrappa view point towards Romsdalen valley and narrow Isterdalen - the way to famous Trollstiegen. On the left side steep rocky spikes of Trolltindan - mountain massive with highest rock wall in Europe - Trollveggen. As You can see everything in Norway has Troll in the name - reason? Dramatic landscape looks really like a home of big Trolls.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #44 - winner announcement!
@crazy-andy Asian Sunday entry:
We get up early one day in the middle of last year’s September and it definitely paid off with good morning view on Mount Bromo in Indonesia. This volcano is still an active one and it has huge cultural influence on Indonesian people. Would say that sunrise at Mt. Bromo is a must see in traveler life

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday week #44 - winner announcement!
@davedavis91 Australian Monday entry:
"Life on Rottnest" Imagine Paradise.... What do you see? Beach, Water, ocean, crystal clear water... If this is your imagination, than here you go: Go to Rottnest Island on the shores off Perth, Western Australia. This Island is home to the weirdest Rat-Kangaroo species called the quokka. A cute and tiny something all over the island. Snorkelling, swimming, and quite peaceful hang out place. Shot with my Nikon D5300.

@axeman Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:
At first sight the view is very similar to Norway, Northern Canada or Alaska. But nope, this is Baltic Sea during pretty cold period of time, maybe week or two. The coast starts to be frozen with some nice ice formations on the stones
The shot is done early morning on sunrise with a soft warm colors pushing through overall cold blue. And the boat with two fishermen in bright red coasts was just at right time and right place :) A bit of long exposure added. Enjoy it!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #44 - winner announcement!
@worldcapture African Wednesday entry:
Sahara Desert, Merzouga (Morocco). I took this picture on my travel through Morocco on the new years eve 2016/2017. The location was south/east of Morocco in Merzouga, an small village besides the desert on the algerian boarder. I still cant find the right words I could say about the saharan desert, it was just magic and definitely the most peaceful and silent place i have ever been to in my life. If you ever have the chance to go there - do it !

Split is the second largest city in Croatia and a very popular tourist destination in the summertime. From beaches to historic sites, this city has plenty to offer. I took this photo of Riva Harbor during my visit. The promenade in this harbor is lined with restaurants, bars, shops, and the historic catacombs of Diocletian's Palace.
This view is one of my favourites. Its looking out onto the sea and across to Mull and the neighbouring islands on the West Coast of Scotland, watching susnets from here is just amazing.
The colors of this one are impressive! Congrats ;)
Thank you, it was one of the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen!
Fabuloust contrast of colors!
Thank you, its a really special place!
Boat on Lake in Sweden
On my roadtrip from Norway back to Germany, I got really unlucky with the weather in Sweden, but maybe the cloudy weather is part of the atmosphere that makes the country of the many lakes so special.
1/100s; 14mm; f/9.0; ISO 100
I have also posted this photo on my blog.
Another gorgeous shot!
My spies tell me you may be coming through my neighborhood soon. Let @suitcasemama and I know if you need anything - been based in Bangkok for five years ;)
Thank you! We will have a Steemit meet-up with @travelling-two and @worldcapture on Sunday evening, maybe you and @suitcasemama want to join us? :)
@travelling-two was my spy ;) We have a toddler, so can't do much past 7pm. We will be in one of the most photogenic neighborhoods in Bangkok, Talad Noi, though for a bit of a stay-cation, let us know if you end up near the river!!
I'm staying near Phaya Thai until Tuesday, so Talad Noi isn't too far - and I love photogenic neighborhoods :)
We'll probably be over there exploring tomorrow morning. If you're over there and see a couple with a cute toddler say hi, it's probably us :)
Good photo! ;)
Thanks!
Faublous setting for your image! Well done.
Blue hour in Diocletian's Palace in Split, Croatia. This was built for the Roman Emperor Diocletian but normal people have been living here for over 1000 years. Instead of tearing down the palace they have been living within its ancient walls and the palace makes up most of Split's old town.
Wow, what an amazing click. Thank you so much for your quality contribution.
Great photo! Split is a very pleasant town, but also make sure to visit Hvar! ;)
Something to cool down. Here's a photo from the mountains. I visited the Stubai Valley two weeks ago and camped up in the mountains to get this shot. It was freezing up there but I enjoyed some hours of absolute silence and tranquility up there. Currently with the extreme temperatures here in Europe I think I have to head up into the mountains again soon to cool down a bit.
Here's some video I shot to go with the photo

What a great place to visit. Thank you for your wonderful image.
This photo was taken by us @travelingstories last year, in Paradise...
Oh! No, sorry... Our mistake...
We know it may look like Paradise, but it was taken "simply" in one of the most beautiful and romantic places we have been to: the village of Oia, in Santorini, Greece.
I love Santorini, what an amazing place that is.
This is my recent drone shot from Bay of Kotor in Montenegro, which I call it "Small planet of Kotor". 36 shots stitched together and then wrapped around into the "small planet". Speaking of location itself - it is spectacular place which is not overcrowded by tourists even in high season, so I highly recommend to visit it asap.
Dont`t forget to enjoy the beauty in full screen.
It is amazing what can be done with the use of modern technology those day. One really has to expand the image to enjoy it full beauty. Great job!
Thanks, Tomas. Totally agree. I really start to like my little, but powerful drone :)
Two days in a row we have the most beautiful midnight sun here up North, above the artic Circle, where the sun never sets.. The sea's reflection turned it into an outer world experience. You might think there is a of tweaking going on in this picture, but these were the colours in reality!
Wow, that sure is a stunner!
I took this photograph a few days ago while I was riding my bike until night through my home region in Lower Saxony, Germany. It shows a gravel plant nearby. The view was just beautiful. As an introverted photographer I enjoy especially landscape photography because it is so calm in nature.
Click on photo for better resolution. Best regards, Jana/Lichtgreif
Love those colors! Thank you so much for sharing.
The Burning Pine
Another sunset shot from one of my most favorite places nearby Klaipeda, Lithuania - the Dutchmans Cup. This time a bit further from the sea staying on the small dune with nice view of small pine trees
Great mixture of cold sky colors touched by warm sunset
Enjoy the scenery!

Amazing scenery, beautiful colors.
Hey all,
I'd like to share another shot of my lovely neighborhood with you. This nationalpark's called "Saxon Switzeland"/ "Bohemian Switzerland", although it has nothing to do with its namesake. We often go out there and enjoy the peaceful brilliance of this place! Sandstone mountains, the elbe-river, impressive rock formations, rock-climber-paradise, and impressive hikes and climbs (for those without gear and training^^).
Saxony, Germany. Königstein at sunset:
Beautiful image, wonderful place!
El Bollullo is a gorgeous unspoiled natural beach in the scenic La Orotava Valley in the north of Tenerife. It is located in a remote bay four kilometres east of Puerto de la Cruz in northern part of the island.
View of the Dresden Theater and a magnificent horseman statue in the historic center of Dresden, Germany. Home to some 550,000 people, Dresden is the second largest city of the German state of Saxony. The city was badly damaged during the WWII but many of its historical jewels were reconstructed after the war.
cool shot! ;)
Monrepos Castle in Ludwigsburg
About 2 weeks ago I went to this beautiful Castle near Stuttgart which lays directly at a small lake. You can rent out a boat and go on the lake or just relax in the shade on the grass and enjoy the scenery.
One more entry from a tiny Greek island!
Halki is part of the Dodecanese group of islands and the smallest inhabited one. Since it is just 4 miles west of Rhodes it is common among tourists to visit it for a day trip although it's a hidden paradise for people seeking quietness and relaxation!
I took this picture 4 years ago in Pirin Mountain, Bulgaria. The highest visible peak is Desilica (2700m above the sea level). Specifics of the picture: moonlight, Canon EOS 6D, Canon EF-24-105 f/4L IS USM, f/5.6, 30sec, ISO 1600. This is the first time I publish the picture and I hope you like it.
Flores is the most green and flowery island of the Azores. On Europes westernmost island live about 4.000 inhabitants. In the distance you can see Corvo, which is with about 400 inhabitants the smallest island of the Azores.
Madeira is an Island of Portugal; it has mild climate all year round and a typical and rare subtropical forest, called Laurissilva. And it has great sightseeing spots, like this one: this is a photo from the top of Pico Areeiro, one of the highest points in the island.
Hallstatt, Austria. It is a small village in the district of Gmunden, Snowfall is quite common in the winter months and can make this beautiful village appear even more dreamlike with a blanket of snow. The most beautiful place to visit.
Tuscany is one of the most popular Italian region to explore and is known for its landscapes, traditions, history, artistic legacy, and its influence on high culture.
Here is a view from a belvedere in Montepulciano. Watched that view an hour while having lunch.
Hi Steemians I'm posting my picture of the Atomium in Brussels. At 102 metres high, with its nine interconnected spheres, it represents an elementary iron crystal enlarged 165 billion times, it was the main pavilion and icon of the World Fair Expo 58.
Galileo Galilei
This is a Galileo Galilei Statue, from the Galileo Galilei Museum at Florence, Italy.
I want to enrich this challenge by posting a different kind of picture (we all tend to publish landscapes and city pictures).
The Galileo bust it is awesome by itself, but I think I played nicely here with the contrast, lighting and shadows.
I feel it gives it a certain realism, like he is going to get through the screen (open it alone on a new tab)
Here comes a photo I made as I visited a festival in Budapest in the Castle area a few years ago. It shows the city in all its beauty, including the Elisabeth Bridge, the Gellert Hill, The Liberty Bridge in the background, and so much more. The city is beautiful during daytime, but even more amazing after sunset.
This photo shows the vaulted ceiling of the Barcelona Cathedral in Catalonia. This church is an interesting Gothic building. As you can see this ceiling was built according to the Gothic style, the ribbed vaults are arranged with crossed diagonal arches. This structure allows to have higher ceilings in the Gothic churches.
The construction of the cathedral started in the XIV century, however its façade was finished at the beginning of the XX century.

This image displays a nightly impression of Zürich —
the capital city of Switzerland and (- besides ˋmagical´ Prague -) one of my very favorite cities ~ ❤️🌟 ~
It most picturesquely is located directly on ˋLake Zurich´ — ˋZürichsee´ in German which is the spoken language of this region — and especially in the warmer season romantic boat excursions are very popular among tourists... and everyone honestly :)
