See the winner of the last week´s European Thursday @vinceboisgard with the following entry:
From the top of this hill the view is stunning. Rays of sun piercing through the clouds enlightening the estuary. This scenery was breathtaking and despite the cold wind I remember wanted to stay there watching the sunset. Northern Ireland is such a great place :) Location: Northern Ireland.
Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.
Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #86 - winner announcement!
@travelshots Asian Sunday entry:
"Thu Thiem Bridge" offers probably the best view of the city center of Saigon with the Saigon River in the foreground. Here you can admire beautiful sunsets as the sun disappears just behind the skyline. After dark the skyscrapers are reflected in the water, which can be used for impressive long exposures.
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #86 – winner announcement!
@fotogruppemunich Australian Monday entry:
Since we spent a long time near Sydney, it was also possible for me to photograph the Opera House at night. There was no extra light show on this evening unfortunately. Nevertheless it was an experience for me to be at this place in the night.
@vinceboisgard Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:
Last bit of land before the open waters. On the Northern Ireland coast, the storm is forming in a far distance and will soon hit the land. I stand on top of a cliff looking at these clouds building up thinking how quickly can the weather change. Location: Northern Ireland.
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #86 - winner announcement!
@vcclothing African Wednesday entry:
The view from Table Mountain looking down on lions head mountain and out to the Atlantic ocean is an amazing sight to see when you are in Cape Town South Africa. Just remember to Bing a jacket with you if you visit in the afternoon, as the winds change very quickly and it gets cold fast.

Rome is one of the most iconic and most traveled cities in Europe. It covers an area of 1,285 square kilometres and has nearly 3 million residents. It is located in the central portion of the Italian peninsula, on the Tiber River about 24 km inland from the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Somewhat unusual view of the St. Peter's Square with just very few people. This iconic plaza located directly in front of the St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City, Rome, Italy is usually packed with crowds of tourists but if you come here early enough, you will have it almost just for yourself :)
Port of Koper - Slovenia
After days of cycling on the snow in Europe, finally the sun showed up on the horizon of the Adriatic sea. Nothing like contemplating the golden hour while seeing the boats disappear on the distance.

Love the colours of the sky
It was amazing seeing the sun again after 2 months on the road, indeeeeed. Thanks for the comment @livinguktaiwan
This photo was made during our trip to France during football Euro 2016. Each match was played in a different city, so we traveled almost all of France.
I may not even say what place is in the photo (famous Le Mont St. Michel)
Wow..
One of the tourist spots from my trip to London: The London Eye. And on the background... the typical London weather: rain! That reached me in less than 5 minutes and stopped me from getting better pictures! :)
Discover Tallinn
I took this picture on my first walk through Tallinn's Old Town. This long and narrow passage way connects Vene and Müürivahe street - it is known as Katariina Käik (engl.: St. Catherine's Passage).

Beautiful!
@phortun shows Peter's Square in the Vatican State without people, I show almost the same picture, but at a later time. I myself stood in the middle of a crowd waiting to enter the St. Peter's Basilica and also photographed the crowd.
I took the photo in 2008. I don't remember waiting. I enjoyed the views in all directions.
To se nám to dneska hezky sešlo :)
'The City' as viewed from a boat on the River Thames. Here is the famous Isle of Dogs, one of the financial heartlands of London. One Canada Square is an iconic building that dominates the skyline of East London.
A stop in Sorrento is a must during a trip in Italy. It is a nice city on the coast Amalfitano between the cliffs and lush vegetation. This peninsula is often nicknamed "gulf of mermaids" or "garden of delights", because of the numerous stories about sirens; half-woman, half-fish.
Sorrento is also famous for the production of limoncello, a liqueur obtained by maceration of lemon, alcohol, water and sugar.
Although I'm not religious, I love the grandeur of churches and cathedrals as they make one feel so calm and relaxing by just letting your eyes and mind wander around freely inside. This stunning nave is at Worcester Cathedral 🇬🇧.
Photo of South Tower of the Wartburg Castle located near Eisenach, Thuringia, Germany.
This Castle is quite famous because Martin Luther sought refuge in it. He was there for almost a year and he translated the New Testament during this time.
The winter sleep
Winter view to Klaipeda Old Town over the river. A touch of long exposure and floating ice becomes just a mysterious traces on the water. Red boat grabs additional attention
Shot from tripod of course, thous sometimes makes the trick if you can find a good place just to put a camera on
Quite a painterly look achieved in post-processing
Enjoy the scenery!

Summer usually is the most colourful part of the year and this photo shows the sea close to a small town named Lovran situated less than one hour from Rijeka Croatia. Clean and transparent water and it looks relaxing and isolated.
Now it is more than a year since I was in Belgrade with my girlfriend and my friend. We had a great time in this beautiful city with good food and reasonable prices. Would like to repeat this trip soon.
