7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Asian Sunday week #27 – winner announcement!
@justdentist Asian Sunday entry:
Cormorant Fisherman in China. Here is one of my favorite photos from our trip to China last year. I also featured it in my "Faces of China" post. If you take part in Tomas, aka @czechglobalhosts, contest for a longer period of time, you'll might have seen some photos of the fisherman. After being a fisherman for several decades he now mainly works in the tourist industry as a model. I guess it's kind of a win-win-situation for him and tourists like us. He's wearing his traditional outfit. Once in a lifetime experience! Have a great week everybody.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #27 – winner announcement!
@bluebottlefilms Australian Monday entry:
This photo is from Rottnest Island in Western Australia. The island is commonly called "Rotto" in Australia, we tend to abbreviate everything over here. It's a beautiful island that is protected and famous for it's healthy population of quokkas.

@narchuk Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:
Sunset in the sea can have another meaning. When not only the sun but you yourself plunges into the water. The sky on the surface explodes with bright clouds. And the underwater world is completely transformed. The daily inhabitants hide and fall asleep. They are replaced by nocturnal creatures. All this process is not long at all. Less than an hour is required for nature to completely change over to another state. If I succeed, I always try to spend this time in or near water. Especially if it's as nice and warm as the Philippines. Of all the places where I was, there are some of the most beautiful sunsets.

@jpphotography African Wednesday entry:
Sahara - every kid knows the name of this huge desert in Northern Africa. When I was planning on visiting Morocco, I made sure to include the Sahara on my itinerary and these two guys provided me with a perfect motive!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – European Thursday week #27 – winner announcement!
@ansharphoto European Thursday entry:
Rovinj, Croatia. Visitors to Rovinj are often struck by its resemblance to Venice, its neighbor almost directly across the Adriatic Sea. The only thing that seems to distinguish “Little Venice” from its namesake is the absence of canals and busloads of tourists.

This was such a nice memory from my trip to Mexico a few weeks ago. After spending the day having fun on a boat in the Pacific Ocean, a group of us went into Puerto Vallarta to have some drinks and watch the sunset from a rooftop. I wish I was back there now! But at least I have the memory that I can share with everyone!
Coffee Pot Steem
Following a night time snowstorm in southwestern United States one of Sedona Arizona's famed rock formations Coffee Pot Rock, is putting on a morning show. Its marvelous to see the sunlight hitting the rock and melting the snow revealing this beautiful misty scene.

Thank you so much for your fabulous image! I just love Sedona, only wish I had spent more time over there. Tomas
Your very welcome, Thank you for the opportunity to compete, and I just have to say Sedona is a wonderful special place.
The rising sun paints the Rocky Mountains as it wakes them to a new day. A true spectacle of nature and one of the most beautiful moments I have experienced. Gear: Canon 70D with Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/4-5.6 IS STM. Location: Colorado, Rocky Mountains National Park.

Stunning image! Thank you so much for your participation. Tomas
Thank you, Tomas!
Photo of Lake Moraine taken in the month of June. This lake is located at the Valley of the Ten Peaks in the Banff National Park, Alberta , Canada, at the heart of the Canadian Rockies. As it can be seen in the image the water colour is very characteristic, this is due to the glacial rock floor.
Thank you so much for your great entry. Have a fabulous day. Tomas
A visit to the British Columbia Parliament gives a good impression of the British influence that shaped Victoria. The decor is grand and the building is beautiful, both inside and out, especially when illuminated at dusk.
It is necessary to wait for 21h and the show begins. The parliament is fully lit .. I took this picture in cloudy weather .. I hope you like it ...
Victoria, Canada
Wow, that looks like from a cartoon! So beautiful. Tomas
Thanks Tomas..
This photo of Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe was from an incredible flight around the lake in a tiny Kitfox seaplane with the door removed. Shortly after this, we touched down in the Bay, where we skimmed across the water for a bit then took off again. It was quite exhilarating and the memory was forever burned into my mind.
That must have been an amazing experience! Thank you for sharing with all of us. Tomas
It was indeed. Thank you for picking the shot as one of the top 10!
Views from the top of Ka'au Krater on Oahu Hawaii. I was lucky to be able to snap this photo as we had no views due to the clouds but when they did finally clear I got this amazing view. This hike is one of my favorites in all of Hawaii but is very long and tiring. It takes you up 3 waterfalls and gives you views of the entire south and eastern shores.
Thank you so much for your great submission!
I saw this elk early in the morning in a shallow part of Yellowstone Lake with beautiful reflections of not only of the elk, but also of the clouds and the tree in the background. This was my third time in Yellowstone National Park and it amazes me every time.
Great capture!
Taking pictures of the Antelope Canyon can be a difficult task - not enough light, people walking around, no possibility to go with a tripod unless you pay for a super expensive tour. This is my best shot. The picture was taken on 18 of January this year.
Well, you did an amazing job! Looks fabulous!
Thank you :))

Autumn doesn't last long in Central Texas and these types of colors are rare and don't last that long but I was very lucky on this day to capture the foliage colors. Perdenales Falls is right outside of Austin, Texas near Dripping Springs, Texas.

The skyline of Toronto, Ontario, viewed from one of the islands just off the shore. The iconic CN Tower is still the third-tallest tower in the world, overlooking the downtown of Canada's largest city.
Simply amazing!
Night in downtown of Los Angeles, California. Compared to downtowns of other major U.S. cities such as New York, Chicago, Miami or Philly, the downtown of Los Angeles is surprisingly lifeless. However, roaming the streets lined with all those high-rise buildings at night is still a fascinating experience. I am really glad I did it, although I kept hearing how dangerous it is.
Rocky Mountains, Canada
One of those beautiful waterfalls which you can find next to the highway if you cross Jasper National Park. Climbing up the hill is always a little highway, nature is just a few footsteps away from your car
Sunset after the last day of the "Oregon Eclipse Festival"
Everyone feels the weight of the last 5 or 6 days constante dancing and partying...
People are tired but still wanting to enjoy one more night...
Some are waking up... Some going to sleep for a few hours...
Strange energy on the air...
i know this feeling
What I scene to greet you after a 6 day party come-down ;-) Nice!
The Hollywood Walk of Fame contains 2,600 five-pointed stars embedded in the sidewalks. The names are mix of actors, musicians, directors, producers and others. $40,000 that's the amount that's worth to create, install, and maintain the star.
Key West Beach
If I think about Key West, the following things come to my mind: Florida Keys, Southernmost Point, Ernest Hemingway, cruise ships, water sports, caribbean lifestyle ... and many more. We were lucky and spend a couple of days in Key West in 2014. Even though we enjoyed other parts of Florida more than the Keys, they are definitely worth a trip.
Happy Easter!
Nice ..
A vote must be made for justice no matter what its image
Thanks for sharing your experience with us...
Chichen Itza might be the most prominent example of Mayan architecture and due to its fame and its location close to the resorts of Cancun, it receives a lot of tourism. I arrived just after they opened and had about half an hour to see the ruins with almost nobody else around, then the tourist buses started coming in.
Taken at Pyramid Bench, at the base of Pyramid mountain in Jasper National park. As we were waiting for our horse sleight ride, skaters were going around the lake for a cold morning skate on New years Day.
I took this photo with my gopro placed on a rock...
I guess everybody can tell that the place is the Grand Canyon. The place is a lot more than what i could show in a photo!
On the right side is me and my girlfriend siting and watching the sunset...
Cathedral Ledge near North Conway, New Hampshire
The resiliency of the conifers of the New England states is unmatched. These trees will thrive on any mountain or cliff face...
You give them an inch, and they'll take the whole ledge..
Sylvan Lake is an artificial reservoir created in 1881 when a dam was built across Sunday Gulch Creek. When the area became Custer State Park in South Dakota is known as the “Crown Jewel of Custer State Park”.
Visiting the Yosemite National Park in Mariposa county was a humbling experience. You cannot help but feel tiny amongst the huge rock faces interspersed with woody trails. It also is a great example of human perseverance, for everywhere you turn you will see a determined climber trying to conquer a rock face. Here is a picture of famed El Capitan meadow which I took during my visit and sure enough there were a couple of climbers up on the vertical Rock!
The Montreal old port is almost 2km long and attracts over 6 million tourists annually. In the back, we can see the biosphere, a vestige of the 1976 expo. There is a good combination of old historic building and new trendy spot.
I appreciate your post! Thanks!
The Statue of Liberty (Liberty Enlightening the World), located on the island of Liberty, Manhattan-New York, is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the city. It was inaugurated on October 28, 1886.

It was a cool and balmy winter's day on Vancouver Island when I decided to go to Mystic Beach when I saw this amazing waterfall spilling into the ocean. Even though it was cold, some people still decided to go for a dip in the water.
