@racheleecious Asian Sunday entry:
This was taken last year when we go to a trip in Albay, Philippines. This is the perfect coned shape volcano, the Mayon Volcano. I took this picture because of the perfect reflection of its image in the ricefield with water. This volcano explodes last January 2018. Mayon is the one of the many tourist destination here in the Philippines.

@akirachang Australian Monday entry:
I took this photo at Brisbane story bridge. It is a heritage-listed steel cantilever bridge connecting northern and southern Brisbane. At night, the bridge's purple lights lit up half of the Brisbane river into a deep purple colour. Conjunction with the building light beside, It makes a great contrast at night. A really unique scenery in Brisbane Australia.

Morning on Praia do Pinhao in Lagos, Portugal. I wasn't sure I need to get off the bed that rainy morning and drive 30 km to this beach, but I glad I did it. A thin line of clear sky appeared on the horizon just in time to show let the rising sun enlighten everything around.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – African Wednesday week #24 – winner announcement!
@fjorenca African Wednesday entry:
This picture was taken at sunset in the Erg Chebbi dunes of Morocco. Our caravan stopped to enjoy the color transformations of the desert. Even my camel seemed to be admiring the sunset. I asked our berber guide if he ever gets sick of this view. He said "The desert is my home; this is where I feel that I belong."

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – European Thursday week #24 – winner announcement!
@francismoure European Thursday entry:
This is a photo taken in Russia, specifically in the red square of Moscow, where it is shown to the Cathedral of St. Basil, at night it looks much more spectacular than in the day, this is a very famous cathedral, mostly because of its domes in the shape of a bulb, for us tourists. But without a doubt it is a very beautiful place.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – North American Friday week #24 – winner announcement!
@scottshots North American Friday entry:
Back in March 2016, I was incredibly lucky to shoot the famous Fly Geyser. It was tough for most photographers to shoot because it sat on protected private property in Nevada, USA near the town of Gerlach. A good friend of mine met the property owner by chance and we ended up with the elusive permission to photograph it. The property is now owned by Burning Man. Visiting the geyser is currently not allowed but it looks like they will be opening the area to visitors in the future. This is a 30 second shot, lit with a headlamp.

A view of Bogotá, the capital city of Colombia. This photo was taken from the hill of Monserrate, located at more than 3000 metes above sea level. Bogotá is a plateau at 2700 meters above sea level and it is densely populated, as it can be seen in the photo.
I am planning my trip there sometimes in Autumn! Thank you so much for your entry. Tomas
It is a nice place. I hope that you enjoy your trip there!
When I lived in Chile, I traveled through its fantastic long land. Compared to Patagonia in the south, the Atacama region in the north offers more otherworldly views. This is a picture I took there in the Moon Valley at sunset. It felt so surreal surrounded by the orange moon-like landscape, with the photogenic Licancabur Volcano in the distance.
Beautiful photo. The Licancabur is great!
Thanks! It’s got a nice shape right? You also have lots of beautiful photos from Atacama. :)
Yes, the perfect shape for a vulcano ;)
Just wonderful! Thanky you so much!
71 secs of long exposure at Machu Picchu. Late afternoon is in my opinion the best time to relax and spend some time enjoying the spectacular views of this ancient city. All morning tours are already gone and the place is much less busy with tourists running everywhere you look. Light is just amazing and brings out reach green color of the Machu Picchu "island" from between the mountains surrounding it. Perfect time to set your camera and lay in the grass next to it taking in the beauty around you.
I will take your word for it when there:)....
Organized trips to Machu are like a marathon, you speed visit everything with no time to really enjoy the place. Just be sure to buy train tickets in advance and book the latest one on the way back ;) And bring at least 2 water bottels and some food with you if you want to spend there whole day because if you buy it there, it's going to be the most expensive water in your life :)
Amazing capture! Well done!
Thank you very much
Amazing photo!!!
Playa Caribe
What a stunning sunset! Thank you so much for your entry. Tomas
Thank you very much for appreciating the photo, very grateful for the support.
Vicuñas in the Atacama Desert
In the north of chile you can often see these wild relatives of the llama and alpaca wandering in the yellow grassland of the andean high plateau. I always enjoyed watching these nice animals in such a stunning landscape...
Those are popular in today´s contest:)....
Vicuña in Bolivia
Until recently, the vicuña was thought to not have been domesticated, as well as the llama and the alpaca were considered descendants of the closely related guanaco. But recent DNA studies have shown the alpaca may well have vicuña parentage. Today, the vicuña is largely wild, but the regional people still perform particular rituals with these animals, including a fertility rite.
The vicuña is considered more delicate and graceful than the guanaco and smaller. A key distinguishing element of morphology is the better-developed incisor roots to the guanaco. The vicuña's long, woolly coat is tawny brown on the back, whereas the hair on the throat and chest is white and quite long. The head is a bit shorter than the guanaco's and the ears are slightly longer. The length of mind and body ranges from 1.45 to 1.60 m (about 5 ft); shoulder height is from 75 to 85 cm (around 3 ft); its weight is from 35 to 65 kg (under 150 lb).
Great shot!
Panamá is America too
I took this picture on my trip to Panama. This country, like the rest of the Latin American countries, manages to merge modernity with tradition in the most pleasant way. In this shot you can see the most modern area of this country and how, on the left, the Pacific Ocean reaches its shores.
So many developments going on in this place. Panama seems to be booming in the recent years! Thank you so much for your participation. Tomas
This photo was made by me in Costa Rica. I lived in a small eco-hotel, which was very distant from any civilization. This is an incredible feeling when you go out on the beach in the morning and the chances of meeting a person are much lower than any animal.
What the colours, beautiful sky! Thanks ever so much for your participation. Tomas
Cusco in Peru is the gateway to so many amazing places including Machu Picchu, Here is a pic I took of the City square just after our adventure up to Sacsayhuamán. The city if filed with these awesome old school buildings, It is a very beautiful city indeed.
Looks like a great place! Hopefully, I will make it there one day! Tomas
I hope you can make it there it is amazing !!
love these pics
After over a thousand years, deep blue glacial ice, tortured and stress fractured comes close to finishing its journey from the Southern Patagonin Ice field to Argentino Lake. Hard to comprehend the scale here but at its terminus the Perito Moreno Glacier has an average thickness of 170m (558ft); the contorted ripples on the surface are between 30 and 60 m (98 and 195 ft) high. This shot was taken at the peak of the midday sun. The extreme brightness of the ice, capable of causing snow blindness in a short period of time, has silhouetted out the sky. Argentina

Sometimes, we need to get out of the touristic path to find the best or unusual things. Here I was in Cafayate, Argentina, away for the main roads to find this abandon building that stood out. Llama are everywhere in South America, even on building architecture.
We took this picture last November while cruising in the Galápagos, Ecuador. After making some shore excursions, we came back to the ship and just before having dinner we could see this really nice sunset.
Salinas de Maras is a small town located in Peru, these salt mines are well known, since it is one of the four places in the world where pink salt is extracted.
Beautiful photo. Looks very interesting with all those small ponds...
thanks you very much..
LAGUNA BOCA DE PALO - Isla de Margarita. It is a beach with very low and warm waters and is close to beautiful mangroves. All this sector of the island was declared a wildlife reserve due to the large number of species that live there. It is located behind the national park "Tetas de María Guevara" (2 almost identical mountains that are on the road to the peninsula of Macanao). The road to get to the beach is like a desert, many of the visitors go by jeep to make the journey well. There is no shade or services, so you have to get ready with food and drinks. It is an ideal beach for children. That day I waited until sunset to capture this image.
World's highest water fall
Undoubtedly one of the most impressive places is the Salto Angel located in Venezuela, it is the waterfall with the longest drop in the world, with nothing more and nothing less than 979 m2. This impressive view can be seen from a plane that flies over it, from the heights you can see rivers, tepuis, mountains and waterfalls. Venezuela and South America is a paradise that you must visit at least once in your life.
El Chaltén is a village in Los Glaciares National Park, in the Argentine province of Santa Cruz. It is an access road to the trails that surround the tops of Cerro Torre and Mount Fitz Roy to the northwest. It is a wonderful place where cold and wind rule.
This Iquique de Chile and this beautiful view is taken from a restaurant with a panoramic view, for more clean and transparent glass could not do miracles but I loved the photo, eat and enjoy this natural picture is simply a work of art that give nature to us
All Beautiful Cliks and well deserved entries, my personal Favorite @akirachang Australian Monday entry
This photo is taken in tachira - venezuela. just in the Venezuelan Andes, the elevation of the south america of the earth you can enjoy these green mountains and its warm climate, a cold that you can enjoy and is close to the border with the Colombian country, it is a tourist place where you can camp and Enjoy the peace and silence that comes from being away from the city
Tachira is beautiful
Today I want to share my photograph taken to the "Cerro Guayamurí". This hill is a natural monument of Venezuela in conjunction with the "Cerro Matasiete" is located northeast of La Asunción - Nueva Esparta State. The view of this hill recalls, in its form, the famous Japanese volcano "Fujiyama".
Beautiful.
lima-peru is this part called miraflores this region is close to the sea, and in this very colonial square you can see these used carriages both in tourism and weddings, which would be a great wedding if you have a walk through these streets full of history. the whole architecture is very beautiful

This photograph is taken by cable car to the national park "El Ávila". Officially known as "Waraira Repano". It's located in the center-north of Venezuela. It offers multiple trails to its visitors, which can be done by car, cable car or simply by walking.
Coming from Sucre State to my home region Margarita Island in Venezuela I found that the sea had a lot of waves. Contemplating the sea, I took this photograph to the rocks that were found on the shore.
Isla del Sol is located on Lake Titicaca, in the province of Manco Kapac in the department of La Paz. It is a destination of great beauty with terraces of crops and the blue lake in the background. It is also a very special place since it is considered the place where the Inca Empire began.
On my trip to the great Venezuelan savannah in December of 2017 I was fortunate to witness a rainbow in a waterfall.
