7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #42 - winner announcement!
@jpphotography Asian Sunday entry:
Railay Beach Viewpoint, Thailand. Located near Krabi, Railay Beach is a popular spot for rock climbing. I do some rock climbing myself, but in Railay I went on a different kind of climbing trip when I scrambled up a small trail to reach this beautiful viewpoint - covered in mud.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday week #42 - winner announcement!
@bluebottlefilms Australian Monday entry:
It's whale season again across the south east coast of Australia. Keep an eye out for those spurts, especially around dawn. The low position of the sun makes the spurts glimmer on the surface during this time, making them much easier to see.

@mata.lensa Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:
The sea that surrounds the world has become an important role for all the living beings that exist on earth. Even the sea counted larger than the mainland. And below is the ocean located at the western tip of the island of Sumatra (Aceh). This area is also a silent witness to the Tsunami disaster in 2004 that destroyed Aceh and is now the best destination point in "Banda Aceh".

@extremejogging African Wednesday entry:
Hi Tomas. Long time now see. While I'm sitting here in the beautiful Victoria, Canada, I saw your post and missed my local trails! Here Deryck and I am exploring a single track high up in the Jonkershoek Valley, near Stellenbosch in South Africa. During spring time the typical plants of this area, called "fynbos", grow beautiful little flowers, as far as the eye can see! Keep exploring...

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday week #42 - winner announcement!
@davedavis91 European Thursday entry:
Rome, Italy. A place filled with History, cultural heritage and great motives for cityscape photography. The Colosseum, probably the most famous of all the sights. Listening to all the incredible things that have happened inside the arena, I tried to capture the entire Building with the ultra wide angle. Not that easy. Did you know that they flooded the entire place to have dramatic sea-fights with ships and co. Show-business 2000 something years ago ;) (Nikon D5300 Sigma 8-16mm)

What more can you say about Rio de Janeiro? It's the second largest city in Brazil attracting millions of tourists because of its stunning natural beauty from mountains to oceans to beaches. I'm pretty sure I took this photo during a ride up Corcovado Mountain to see Christ the Redeemer. There are so many wonderful places to visit in South American, but Rio will always be my favorite!
So awesome. Rio is on my list of places to travel. Great shot. The city looks so small from up there.
Truly spectacular! It sure is on my list too:)
Laguna Colorada in Bolivia
The Laguna Colorada is one of the gems of the Bolivian altiplano: Yellow grass is surrounding the lake that is coloured red by some algae. The Laguna Colorada is also home to hundreds of flamingos that you can spot in the background.
1/800s; 18mm; f/8.0; ISO 100
I have also posted this photo on my blog.
Your pics from Bolivia are just amazing.
Thanks Tomas!
This abandoned ship sits in the harbor in Ushuaia, Argentina and it is impossible to walk past it without taking a few pics. This ship is the HMS Justice and it has its own Wikipedia page where I learned that it served in the Invasion of Normandy in World War II and it has been in its current position for about 60 years.
Great entry, thank you so much.
These two peaks belong to the Sierra Nevada National Park, Cordillera Andina del Estado Mérida, Venezuela. They are two impetuous mountains with an extraordinary landscape around them. Tells the reading of the nearby settlers that Mucumamo owes its name to an indigenous God of wisdom: the Indians arrived at the top of the mountain to receive divine guidance from the Mucumamo God.
What a stunning image and the piece of unspoiled nature. Great job!
Puerto La Cruz - Venezuela
This city is one of the biggest tourist attractions of Venezuela. The beaches that are on the outskirts of the city, such as Isla de Plata, Conoma and Arapito, have great beauty, being the gateway to one of the most beautiful parks in the country, the Mochima National Park. From its port, the main ferry that links Margarita to the mainland departs, and you can also sail to the islands that surround the city.
Love that image!
View from the Sierra de la Culata, at about 4000 masl, towards the Sierra Nevada de Mérida with more than 4600 masl. This impressive photo was taken on an excursion to the butt, from where you can see the imposing Sierra Nevada de Mérida, and far in the background, the Bolívar peak with almost 5000 masl, is the peak that has snow city of Merida, Venezuela.
What a lovely view that is!
Rosario, Argentina
For this entry I will use one of my favorite pictures I´ve taken of the Paraná River at my home city: Rosario, Argentina.
The river divides the state of Santa Fe (and consequently the city of Rosario) with the state of Entre Rios. So, every time you cross the river, you go to the beaches of Entre Rios. This picture was taken from one of them, one of many days I went rowing by Kayak, you can see the Rosario – Victoria Bridge at a beautiful sunset.
Thank you so much for your submission and this fabulous image. Have a great day. Tomas
La Victoria is a beautiful city located in the Aragua state of my beloved Venezuela. The first time I went to Victoria, I loved it. I was amazed by its beautiful landscapes and its cool climate. It is a charming city because of its excellent history. It is a land of heroes in my country.This photo was taken with a samsung camera.
What a lovely place that is. Have a great day and stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on today. Tomas
Thank you very much, it is an honor for me that you enjoyed the landscape.
Today I'm sharing with you the best spot on Easter Island for watching sunset - Ahu Akivi. It is quite unique on Easter Island, since the 7 identical statues here all face towards the sea, while almost all other Moai statues on the island face the village as a protective supernatural power.
Welcome back:).....
Merida, Venezuela National Park Sierra Nevada the beautiful view in my way to Laguna las Verdes. The yellow flowers are called Frailejones and you can only see them in the venezuelan paramos.
Thank you so much for your participation. Enjoy your Sunday. Tomas
Thanks I'm glad you liked it :D
It is very nice to walk along some beaches and see many boats. This occurs more frequently in fishing ports, such as photography: Valdez beach, on the Isla de Margarita - Venezuela. However, in almost all the beaches you can find some boats.
This photo was taken at the university where I study, in it the sea is very important since there they study: Marine Biology, Aquaculture and Food Technology. It is located in the town of Boca del Río on the island of Margarita, Venezuela. What a privilege to study in this Caribbean paradise.
Mendoza is a town in the heart of Argentina's wine region. Also know for its modern art and art deco buildings, the city also has a few nice gardens like this one.

Eso se ve sabrosoooo jejeje

Been going through old cds and found my photos from trip to Brasil, in 2005. Although most photos are crap, it was great to remember my first trip after starting to work. One of the photos that is decent is this one, taken in Lençóis Maranhenses, a region composed with big sand dunes and natural lagoons; it's one of the main attractions of the region.

This is a picture taken in the place where I live which is called the bay of Greek Juan located in Margarita / Venezuela. where fishermen lodge their boats, where can you breathe without any doubt pure air and also where you can see one of the best sunsets
Juangriego is one of the most important cities of the "Isla de Margarita" - Venezuela. The main attraction of Juangriego is the "Fortin". From there you have a beautiful view of the city and the beach of La Galera, as you can see in the photograph.
In a bay surrounded by mountains, is located "Manzanillo" beach, one of the most paradisiacal beaches of "Isla de Margarita" (Venezuela) where you can enjoy beautiful natural scenery. Manzanillo beach is located north of Isla de Margarita, in a small fishing village of the same name.
Some fantastic looking pictures, the first one is probably my favourite great colours. Thanks mike
La Candelaria, Bogota, Colombia
Photo of a graffiti in Bogota, capital of Colombia. It was taken in the neighborhood of La Candelaria at the city center. It is a historical neighborhood with houses of the XIX century or even older. An interesting feature is that now days the front of many of these houses are painted with colorful graffitis as the one shown in the image.
Sunrise over the Ruta Nacional 7, an east-west directional highway that cuts across South America, joining Buenos Aires, Argentina and Santiago, Chile. Such a scene is very common on Argentine highways; you're almost guaranteed to see at least one if you're on a road trip, hitch-hiking trip, or if you do medium to long distance driving for a living.
I caught the sunrise at about 8am on a summer day, travelling west. The irritating thing about hitch-hiking towards the west is that you get the sun in your face in the morning. And if you're travelling towards the east, you get a fiercer afternoon sun in your face.
First picture the light of enhance the the beauty of picture.
Second picture so beautiful. Third picture animal photography nice ma, i like your all picture. NIce contest.
