Somewhere in the middle of wild nature in Peru when I traveled from the city Arequipa to Puno, I took this picture from a bus. Combination of brown/red mountains and pink sky was like an infinite movie to me. I never get tired of looking at what’s happening up there. Rainbow is like the icing on the cake.

@vinceboisgard Australian Monday entry:

Night walk around the Darling Harbour, while Sydney city sleeps it is good to walk around the place. Enjoying the calm of the night to rediscover the place shining under bright new light is very peaceful and beautiful. I would definitely recommend spending some time there to anyone.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans week #61 – winner announcement!

@liltammy Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

This apocalyptic photo was taken on my favourite beach in Mexico - the Xpuha Beach aka heaven on Earth. It is a remote and beautiful beach with deep white powder sand, crystalline waters with rich marine life. Still relatively unknown, it is a tranquil beach with few people.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #61 - winner announcement!

@jpphotography African Wednesday entry:

Sahara Sand Dune Sunset. Walking up this steep dune was pretty exhausting, but at the top I had left all other tourists behind. Watching the sun setting over the Sahara from this spot was one of the highlights of my trip to Morocco earlier this year.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday week #61 - winner announcement!

@guchtere European Thursday entry:

Finally I think I've got a picture which is good enough for your contest. I've posted it already in one of my own posts. It's the picture from the waterfall Peričnik in Slovenia. This is a waterfall with a halfway basin and you can climb to the upper part of the fall. This part is a 20m drop approx, I think 🤔, the second part is around 50m. Let's enjoy for the last days till the winter kicks in those beautiful colors autumn gives to us.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - North American Friday week #61 - winner announcement!

@justinmullet North American Friday entry:

Aurora. Driving home one evening I noticed what appeared to be spotlights shining up from the mountains. It took me only a couple seconds to realize that I was seeing Northern Lights, a rare sight here in North Idaho. I sped home to get my camera and drove across the road to the lake where I was able to see hues of red and pink. So beautiful!

A view of Caracas and its monumental mountain El Ávila, which is at the north of the city. Caracas is at 900 meters above sea level and the summit of El Ávila and the other mountains in front of it, are at more than 2000 meters above sea level.

El Tirano Beach, this is an extensive beach located north of Margarita island Venezuela, this is not a popular beach on the island, the most striking thing about this beach is that it has one of the most emblematic hills on the island. It is the Guayamuri hill.

Nice shot, I like the cloud hanging over the mountain and some nice thunderheads in the distance.

Thank you, it is really gratifying that a genius of photography, as you are, says those words from a photograph of me.

Your welcome, I only say it if I mean it.

Lago La Paloma

Aysen Region, Chile. I believe my jaw was dropping as I witnessed this rugged beauty! This lake nestled down in between steep mountain sides lay strong and resilient!

I rarely get up early to walk and still get out in time to see the sun rise. I wonder, did I get lucky because the only day I got was so beautiful? Or maybe if I took a picture of this moment every day I would eventually find even more splendor? Morning walk of 4 km at Joaquina Beach in Florianópolis - Magia Island - Santa Catarina - Brazil.

My adventure started in Lima, the capital, the biggest and for me the most dangerous city of Peru. Miraflores is a district of Lima located about 10 kilometters from the central city. It´s modern part full prestigious shops with clothes, modern coffee shops but especially Miraflores boardwalk offers stunning views to the Pacific ocean. I have to admit that this part of Lima was my favourite.

This is a church from the beautiful city of Cordoba, Argentina. It is not the big cathedral that everybody goes see but still a beautiful church. Sometime, simplicity is the best.

Frailejones of the Venezuelan Andean Páramo

During my trip to the city of Mérida, capital of Mérida state, Venezuela, I had the opportunity to visit the Merino Andean Páramos. The Ruta de los Páramos runs along the trans-Andean road, which climbs the mountain range to a maximum height of 4,118 m.s.n.m, which culminates in the Collado del Nido del Cóndor, better known as Pico El Águila. The route includes a large number of small agricultural communities located along the entire length of the road. In this area we can observe its characteristic vegetation, whose main exponent is the Frailejón plant, which in addition to its beauty, has great healing properties.

Tupiza.JPG

When you go to Bolivia, you have the chance to see those beautiful cactus in the wild. The nature provide us great things to admire and share for this outstanding contest.

For the pleasure to have took this picture in Tupiza!

The Jarillo
This photo is taken on one of the holiday trips to Colonia Tovar. Venezuela.
El Jarillo is a beautiful village of the high Mirandinos, 15 minutes from Colonia Tovar, in Venezuela. Founded by Germans, a wonderful place to spend a few pleasant days, away from the stress and noise of the city, enjoy the typical German food and its spectacular views, plus a very pleasant climate of 18 degrees Celsius, which varies in the months of December and January. It has a height of 1,200 and 2,200 meters above sea level, ideal for paragliding.

Sunset next to the Orinoco River

Beautiful sunset from Cabruta, guarico state, Venezuela. The sunsets are a colorful party. The magic that is reflected in the sky and the contrast with the Orinoco River, is worthy of admiration, leaves a trace of very deep energy in our being, that will nourish our soul with peace and tranquility in our spirit. I am grateful for the places that our country offers us.

Sunset in Ciudad Bolívar

Visiting some friends I captured this sunset from the top of your house, you can see the colors of the sun but in low tone but much more clouds. I love the sunsets.

Salkantay Trek in the Peruvian Andes

While the Inca trail still is the most famous way of hiking to Machu Picchu, the Salkantay trek has grown in popularity recently. When I hiked it in 2015 it was still possible to go without a permission, but the growing number of tourists has made the the local government change this. Nevertheless, this is one of the most spectacular trails in South America!
