7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Tuesday of Antarctica and the world’s oceans week #8 - the absolute winner takes 150 SBD!

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

Hello fellow steemians!

Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Tuesday of Antarctica and the world’s oceans - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 150 SBD! Today you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to a continent of Antarctica. I am also adding world's oceans to the challenge as I am guessing it would be fairly hard to get many entries for Antarctica only.

Your entries need to be submitted by the midnight of Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only one picture to be submitted for a daily photo challenge. The rule number one is to use only personal images. Ten winning photos will receive an upvote from me from which I will pick one winner that will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts.

The winner of daily challenge then competes against winners from other continental challenges of the respective week to receive the price of 15 SBD. That will be decided by you based on the dollar value of upvotes of my winning post announcement. The winning weekly picture then automatically enters other rounds for the price of 150 SBD in total.

Please see the winner of Asian Sunday as well as Australian Monday and give them your support if you like their image to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for them by upvoting their winner announcement posts below:

@justdentist Asian Sunday entry:

It's sunday again. Today want to share with you another picture of the Guilin Fisherman. Back in the days they were real cormorant fisherman. Nowadays they work as models for tourists 😜 The riverbed of the Liang River and the famous Karst landscape mountains in the background.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #8 – winner announcement!

@karolisp Australian Monday entry:

All paths lead to Arthur's Pass

This was taken on our casual 30+km hike around the amazing Arthur's Pass in New Zealand. We started to feel some kind weird vibration/noise and saw that a train is coming behind us, it was really sneaky.

Ocean pictures are hard to find in my repertoire so I need to get closer to the shore. This is in Money Mia on the West coast of Australia where the dolphins come very close to the beach and will be fed by some animal specialists every morning. It's quite a show to watch those beautiful creatures interacting with as stupid humans :)

Wow, that's so awesome! Thank you for sharing!

Thank you, I'm kind of wondering what pictures would be a good match for the Antarctica or seven seas contest? Probably some diving pictures would be great, I only can serve some sea side shots, like coast line or beaches.....

This photo was taken just before I jumped in the water for a quick dive a few weeks ago. It was taken at Cape Perron, near Rockingham, Western Australia. The water was incredible!

Great entry! Thank you so much for your participation. Please stay tuned for the winner announcement. Tomas

If you say ocean you have to like this view of a sundown as seen from a small fishing boat in front of the French coast. It's amazing how the water reflects the colours - just a magical moment!

What a great image! Stay tuned for the winner announcement!

This is my all-time personal favorite sunset picture. This picture of the North Sea (Atlantic Ocean) taken in Alesund, Norway in June 2016. Since it was summer and Alesund is so far north, this picture's timestamp is 11:19pm. The other beauty of this picture is that it's entirely untouched and unedited. I'll be honest, I tried, but every change made it worse! It really was an incredible moment to witness this sunset in person.

That really is a stunning image of the sunset! Thank you so much for that!

Maui

It has been called the best island in the world for the last 20 years. You might know Maui as the demigod or the island from Hawaii but I know Maui as my home. A place where I belong.

Beautiful pic! Thank you so much for participating!

I just posted this picture as part of my #trailtuesday and 'Mountains with Friends' campaign this morning. For this run we took the 'less travelled' route around the back of Lion's Head in Cape Town, South Africa. The sunset over the calm Atlantic Ocean was breathtaking.

Hi Tomas. Love it... I think it could work well to create more stickiness for you challenge and extend its reach. I know I thanked you before for all the support, but thanks again! Without you I would not have been able to grow as I did. Keep up the good work! You have my full support. ;)

Fabulous entry! Stay tuned for the winner announcement.

Here is my entry with Indian Ocean..It was in summer time but cloudy. there were ships far away. I was sitting on the sands, watching sunset and relaxing.

What a way to relax! Great entry.

Oceans are for fun

My friend kiting in Taiba, Northeast of Brazil. We used to go to train for 1-2 months to Brazil, as it the prime spot in autumn time. Many kiters all over the world come to this region to spend the cold autumn/winter.

great post.

Nice dear

JUST WOW! how I wish I have my own camera phone back....

Beautiful pictures:)

The Arabian Sea off of India’s West Coast. I was headlining a beach music festival. The waves calmed my nerves just before I hit stage. The sun kissing the sea just before it left, was my good luck charm that night.

IMG_0205.jpeg

Great picture. However, if you like it to be part of the challenge you need to follow the basic rules of adding a proper description to your image anywhere between 30 to 50 words and the image must be your own. Please correct if you wish to enter. Thank you for your understanding. Tomas

The image is definitely my own. And I will write about it properly . Thankyou so much. I’m a bit new so I’ll be taking a little time to understand these things :)

Wonderful photos Yupiiii
