The winner is voted by you based on the upvotes from the individual continents winner announcements. The winner of the weekly round receives 20 SBD from me and then enters into a monthly and possibly yearly challenge to compete for 200 SBD in total.
I have given out hundreds of SBD to the weekly and monthly winners and thousands of dollars worth of upvotes to winning participants. A man changing the prayer flags under Buddha's Wisdom eyes. A colourful scene from boudhanath, the world biggest circular Stupa located in Kathmandu. Once a years the flags are changed and the lotus petal pattern are refreshed.

Devils Marbles in the Australian Outback. The Devils Marbles are an incredible rock formation: The round rocks are surrounded by the vast landscape of the Outback. Some of the giant rocks are split in the middle which makes for some amazing photos!

Sunset over P.P. Long Beach with some longtail boats (ruea hang yao) parked for the day. This shot was taken just about a month before the 2004 Boxing Day or Indian Ocean tsunami wiped out everything on the island including most of the beautiful people there. Phi Phi Don is a rugged limestone island with development confined to a low sandbar isthmus separating two main wings of the island and did not stand a chance. The waves up to 30 metres (100 ft) high ended up taking the lives of approximately 280,000 people across 14 countries. Ko Phi Phi Don. Ko Phi Phi Archipelago, Andaman Sea, Thailand. In this picture you can see the Eibsee. He is in Bavaria (Germany) you can walk around him to see all the beauty. The mountain in the background is the Zugspitze. It is the highest mountain in Germany. he is 2962 meters high.

Marin County California. Last April while visiting northern California, I drove up to Mt. Tamalpais and then to the adjacent hills in Marin County to watch the sunset. I parked the car next to this road (behind me) and climbed the steep grass covered hill until I found a perfect perch to watch the sunset. As the sun got closer to the horizon the light turned almost unnaturally red, and covered these hillsides in the most magical light.

Looking down on Cusco city from Sacsahuaman, Peru. Cusco city is the gate way to some amazing places including Machu Picchu. Sacsahuaman has an altitude of 12,140 ft above sea level so it was the closest I have ever been to the sun, it was a cloudy day when I was there, but none the less I got very sunburnt.
