Dear Steemit friends and followers,
Welcome to another episode of my Travel Tip edition. This time, I will show you a truly unique place that is considered one of the most beautiful natural landmarks of my homeland, the Czech Republic.
Located just outside the town of Blansko in the Moravian region of the Czech Republic, the Moravian Karst (Moravsky Kras in the Czech language) is a karst landscape and protected nature reserve.

Occupying a total area of 92 sq km (36 sq mi), this place boasts numerous remarkable geological features, including some 1,100 caverns, caves and gorges. Some of the cave systems (such as the Punkva Caves, the Balcarka Cave or the Vypustek Cave) are open public and have been a popular tourist attraction.

Unlike some of the other places I showed you in my previous posts, however, the Moravian Karts is mostly visited by domestic tourists as this landmark is still relatively unknown to foreign visitors of the Czech Republic.
From giant stalagmites and stalactites to bizarre rock formations and underground rivers, there is a lot to admire in the caves but the surface landscape is just as extraordinary. The Macocha Gorge, a huge sinkhole covered with lush green vegetation, is one of the most popular features of the above-ground part of the Moravian Karst.
