Dear Steemit friends and followers,

Today, I have something for all nature lovers as I will take you to the Prague Botanical Garden.

Located in Prague – Troja in the northern part of the city, the Prague Botanical Gaden is an extensive botanical garden comprising of parks, vineyards and greenhouses.
The outdoor expositions include numerous exotic plants and trees from many parts of the world such as China, Japan, Turkey, the Mediterranean, North America etc.
Southern part of the botanical garden is formed by the famous St. Claire´s Vineyards. The origins of the vineyards date back to 13th century when they were founded by the king Premysl Otakar I. Covering some 3.5 hectares, the vineyards are home to 9 grape cultivars.
The most popular part of the Prague Botanical Garden, however, is the Fata Morgana Greenhouse. Divided into 3 areas with different micro climates, the greenhouse provides a habitat to a number of tropical and subtropical plants. There is also a large freshwater lake with tropical fish and, most notably, a unique collection of tropical butterflies. The butterflies can freely move all over the greenhouse, creating a spectacular show for the visitors.

The basic entrance fee to the entire complex of the botanical garden is 150 CZK (6 EUR / 7 USD), foreign visitors can order a guided tour in English for some extra fee.

We have a place just like this near my in Utah. It is called Ashton Gardens at Thanksgiving Point. They have the landscape set up like you are in different areas of the world. It is a pretty cool place to visit. Every year they also have a tulip festival where they plant around 280,000 tulips in all different colors. It is pretty amazing.

Hi Thomas, I come again to your travel trip series of Czech Republic. Wow....This time you bring us Prague Botanical Garden. It's gorgeous place to me coz I'm such a nature lover. If I have ability to come Czech sure, I'll definitely visit Prague Botanical Garden. It's vineyards and greenhouses indeed amazing place as you mentioned here. You given valuable information who want to visit your country. But You didn't uploaded more images there. Images powerful than 1000 words. There awesome part is Fata Morgana greenhouse. Every different micro climates indeed anythings have there. You're doing best travel guidance to your followers. also very interesting places you shown us every day. That's good assistance.
I missed your travel tip post as you didn’t posted for some time.prague botanical garden seems like a really amazing and beautiful place, would make a perfect spot for wedding pics in the green and flower covered garden with beauty surrounding it from all over. The cost is actually not so expensive even for students like us and who doesn’t like flowers and being one with the nature. Thanks for sharing. I would definitely visit that place hopefully one day.
This is a beautiful garden, we have a garden like that near my house but I don’t think that garden and ours can be compared because prague botanical garden is in another level in terms of beauty .greenery is important for our mind and soul to keep it at peace, refresh our mind.there must be many varieties of flora and fauna in there. I like your post. Keep it up.
A very interesting story, a wonderful place, worth a visit ...
but I have one question:
Why are pictures from WIKIMEDIA? Self made ones would be more interesting and zapene more than two.
Of course, upvot
I have never been here and I have lived in Prague for 3 years, thanks for the information, once it warms up it will be a weekend trip :)
I upvoted and followed, keep up the good work!
Wow, Full of Greenery,
AS we all know that greenery is so important for us,
It gives us fresh air to breathe,
Happy to see this side of Prague <3
thanks for showing.
So good! =]
