Hello fellow steemians,
I will be closing the sixth weekly 7 World's Continents Photo Challenge by announcing the winner of the weekly round on Monday. The winner is voted by you based on the upvotes from the individual continents winner announcements. The winner of the weekly round receives 15 SBD from me and then enters into a monthly and possibly yearly challenge to compete for 150 SBD in total. So far I have given out 75 SBD to the weekly winners and some $600 worth of upvotes to winning participants. Now you have a chance to determine who will the winner be over the next three days by upvoting the below winner announcements. The competition is heating up and I am getting excited to see which image will be the winning one. The choice is yours:).....
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #6 - winner announcement!
@jon24jon24 Asian Sunday entry:
Cordillera Mountain Ranges
This photo was taken at highest peak of Mount Pulag which is the second highest mountain peak in the Philippines. We had to hike for 3 hours before getting to the campground and we had to take another 2 hours hike from the campground to the peak. It was raining throughout our hike so it wasn't pleasant as we wanted it to be but in the end, it was worth to see the beautiful sunset. We could see the Cordillera mountain ranges along with the golden clouds lying around the valleys.
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #6 – winner announcement!
@betterthanhome Australian Monday entry:
This shot was taken on our first Australia Trip back in 2013. It shows the "Three Sisters" in the Blue Mountains National Park which is about 2 hours drive from Sydney. The Blue Mountains are the perfect location for hiking.
@schmidthappens Antarctica and world's oceans Tuesday entry:
This is a favorite photo of mine I've always wanted to post somewhere and this challenge is the perfect place for it! This is a photo of the Baltic Sea taken in 2009. I was aboard an overnight ferry connecting Stockholm to Tallinn, Estonia. Nothing really compares to an overnight ferry, a great way to travel. This was sunrise before docking in Tallinn. I think I love this photo because I have such wonderful memories of the trip!
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – African Wednesday week #6 – winner announcement!
@schmidthappens African Wednesday entry:
Zanzibar, an island off the coast of and part of Tanzania, is one of my favorite locations I've visited in Africa. There are so many beautiful, colorful boats, many waiting for the tide to come back in like these. The natural beauty of the island along with the historic Stone Town make it a great destination in East Africa.
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – European Thursday week #6 – winner announcement!
@travelgirl European Thursday entry:
We took this photo when we visited Milan Duomo (Milan Cathedral). There were options to take the stairs or the lift to get up to the top. The view there was absolutely stunning! As it was getting into winter, you can see the snow on top of the mountains from far away.
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – North American Friday week #6 – winner announcement!
@maxinpower North American Friday entry:
This is Lake Peyo in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. It always makes for a great shot, the greenish blue of the water is a beautiful contrast to the surrounding mountains and landscape. I was lucky to come here twice, i highly recommend visiting this amazing part of our planet.
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – South American Saturday week #6 – winner announcement!
@schmidthappens South American Saturday entry:
For sheer energy and fun, in my mind nothing beats Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in South America, and maybe the entire world. The sun, the beaches, the people, the food. It really is an incredible getaway. And a simple drive up Sugarloaf Mountain gives you an amazing view like this:

There are so many beautiful photos that it is very difficult to choose the best. Great choice @czechglobalhosts
That photo of the lake in the Canadian Rockies is breathtaking. Also, great composition on the Milan photo - the statue overlooking the city with the snow-capped mountains in the background is sublime. Great stuff!
All the pics are very cool and to be honest, it make me wanna book a flight ticket and go visit our world again ☺️. My favorite pic is from @betterthanhome ... I wish this was the view from my window every morning I wake up 😀.
