Hello fellow Steemians,
I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend. As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.
Panoramic view of the Wenceslas Square, the most famous square in Prague, Czech Republic. Originally known as the Horse Market (as it used to host horse markets in the Middle Ages), the Wenceslas Square is one of the symbols of the Czech identity and history as numerous important events, demonstration and celebrations have happened there throughout the history. Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words. I will then go through your submissions and upvote those that meet the requirements. Let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
I am really happy to see more and more great photos being submitted to this challenge every day. Yesterday was no exception, we had several awesome entries featured in the photo challenge, including this amazing panoramic shot by our contributor @aireal with the following description:
Spend half of the first day in places to see in Prague Castle I mentioned above. Then head down to Mala Strana to visit St. Nicolas Church and walk on the wonderful Charles Bridge, take a photo. In the evening stroll through the beautiful streets of Prague, enjoy the cafes. Go to Vysehrad on the second day. Then stop by Kafka house. Then go to Petrin Tower and take city views. In the evening, the city's romantic atmosphere and bars await you.
Thank you for your submissions. Have a great day and keep on Steeming!
Please feel free to check out some of my other recent posts.

Prague is a city well known for its contrast in the different architectonic styles. In this image, can be seen a detail of an interesting classical building painted in the characteristic Habsburg Yellow colour, showing paintings in its façade and in the foreground of the image there are the street lamps in Art Nouveau style.
This is photo of me on Wenceslas Square in 2011. This place is an important historical and commercial center of Prague. There are hotels, banks, restaurants, shops and nightclubs. At the top of Wenceslas Square is the impressive National Museum. It's also a meeting point a.k.a. "under the tail" ;).
Nice:)
Main boulevard in Karlovy Vary, the most famous and visited spa town in the Czech Republic. Located in the western part of the country, the town is also known for hosting an annual film festival attended by some of the most prominent celebrities from the world film industry. I took this shot on a rainy day in November 2013.
Thank you so much for your entry. Tomas
On our first trip to the Czech Republic we really wanted to get to Moravian Karst. We rented a car. It was more than 10 years ago and there were no Internet maps with GPS. As a result, we drove for several hours around the neighborhood trying to find the entrance to the cave and the abyss. On the way, we talked with locals, and saw a lot of interesting things. As a result, the trip turned out even more interesting than we planned))
Very cool shot, I love the Moravian Karst! Was there many times as a kid :)
What a fabulous place Moravian Karst is! I am very pleased to get an entry from there. Have a good one. Tomas
This picture were taken on the banks of the river Elbe near Usti nad Labem. The photo shows you the river traffic at this time. There are many barges on the river.
Also river cruise is available, If you like, you can take a river cruise from Germany to the Czech Republic and return. Flood is not uncommon in the banks of the Elbe, especially in spring.

Great shot! Thank you so much for your contribution. Tomas
České Budějovice Town Hall. This Baroque building is originally from 1387, but rebuilt several times, the current appearance of the town hall dates from around 1730. The extensive faсade bears the city’s coat of arm under the central window, surrounded by the county coats of arms of Moravia, Bohemia and Silesia. The four allegoric statues located on the attic depict the bourgeois virtues of Justice, Courage, Wisdom and Caution.
Thank you so much for a great information. Tomas
Nice entry, thank you so much for your contribution to the challenge. Tomas
I took this picture on our Way to the Prague Castle. It is a Church and called "Veitsdom". A really beautiful Church on a huge Hill. The Way up wasn't the easiest, but upon the Hill you have such an amazing overview of Prague... Awesome! We celebrated an anniversary there and will definetly come back to see also some Parts ouside the City Centre.
A Picture from inside the Veitsdom:
I just have to admitt that I love North Bohemian Landscape. This foto was made between Liberec and Turnov not far from Sychrov castle. There was beautiful dusk with mist. I was lucky to have my camera with me.
Great capture, beautiful picture. Thank you so much for sharing. Tomas
Parable With Skull by Jaroslov Rona, is a favorite of mine. Found within Prague Castle. While technically tells the tale of a beggar dying on a doorstep, I think that this represents the weight of death upon man, affecting our daily lives.
Nice entry with a good story. Thank you for your contribution. Tomas
Good day. This Vltava river is wide and majestic. Vltava means "Wild Water". Now Vlatva is part of Prague. It stretches for 430 kilometers and passes through the whole city. The most popular tourist excursions take place either along the river or along it.
A stunning view of Prague. We were lucky that the weather kept up and we were able to see some stunning views of the city. Everything seemed to look like whats in the travel guides and the people there made you feel like you are part of them.
Stramberk
I'd argue that this little village is one of the hidden gems of Czechia. It's tiny but has lots of lovely medieval architecture and the people there are very friendly. Close by is also the city of Kopřivnice with a car museum of the brand Tatra. Highly recommended if you are a fan of cars!
Hi, definitely another hidden gem!
The photo taken during a ride on a motorbike. The ruins of the Potstejn castle are in the background. The history of the castle dates back to the 13th century. The castle is located in Eastern Bohemia and was founded by a Draslavic family from Western Bohemia.
What a beautiful scenery for a bike ride! Have a good one!
Here is another picture of Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul in Prague. Around me in this picture are 4 huge statues. I think there are four of them. The church is beautiful thought, the inside has a lot go artifacts and I would suggest if you have a chance to go in and check it out.
Yesterday you commented on my post but didnt upvote it ;)
Thanks again,
John.
Hey! Sorry about that, let me double check. Sometimes it just happens the upvote is taking longer then usual and then does not go through but by then I move on to the next entry. Have a good one. Tomas
PS: Corrected:).....
Thanks man, i appreciate it. :) have a good evening.
This is a picture of the crib (I'm not sure if this is the right word to use) in Old Town Square. Of course, it's not there all the time. I took this picture during the Christmas Market period! But strangely some street animators (the people who try to amused to tourists in big cities) were on front of it.
Was an amazing travel photo captured by me
This wold be considered spamming as it has nothing to do with my post. Kindly refrain from this kind of behavior before I start flagging you! Thank you and have a good day. Tomas
Czech Republic is such an awesome country with nice structure. I hope to be their in future.
I hope you can make it here one day. It sure is worth a visit. Many beautiful places located around the country. Have a good one. Tomas
Thanks for the great photos. I know Prague and have been to this wonderful city many times. A very nice memory for me!
I think it's great that you are talking about the plagiarism problem here and maybe the Steemians will be sensitized a little bit. I find it very unfair to be stolen here.
Thank you and a warm greeting
Romy
Ufnortunately, like everywhere else Steemit is not an exception so we have to try our best to protect our home. As long as we (genuine users - vast majority) all stick together we can definitely do well and minimize such things from occurring. Have a great day Romy. Tomas
