Is it better to save your money, spend it on material items, or spend it on traveling?
Well - the real answer is probably to balance between a mix of those things, but, traveling should probably be higher on your list than it is. You will never get any younger. As you age, it will probably be much more difficult to travel (and actually enjoy it). So while you can, and whenever you can, I highly recommend spending your extra dollars on seeing other corners of the world as opposed to material things at home that you may or may not care about in the future.
The world is so big - seeing other places can be a life changing experience. It gives you a fresh perspective to see things from. It's really good to get outside of your comfort zone, and in big ways.
If not now, when? What is holding you back? It's likely that whatever is holding you back now, there will be even more things in the future to hold you back. Family obligations, work, bigger financial obligations - it all piles up. Life usually does not get any easier for most people. The time is now - get out there, see the world, and have fun doing it!
