From 14 years of age I have start been visit our mountains, I think very few mountains i did not visit , I had time to see, but especially to learn a lot.
Now i combine the pleasure of traveling with my blog, to see other people beauties of nature. Thanks to all who support me and appreciate my work.

Whoever did not hear about the Bucegi Mountains, the most famous mountains in our country Romania, due mainly to the well-known resorts on the Prahova Valley, but also to the natural monuments on the Bucegi Plateau.
The Bucegi Mountains bordered the North with the Dihaburi Mountains and the Postavarul Mountains, the Gurguiatu Mountains to the south, the Prahova Valley in the east, and the Leaote Mountains in the west and the Rucar - Bran avenue.

By far the most popular are enjoying an important influx of tourists due first and foremost to weekend tourists coming from nearby towns, but also to the many recreational opportunities that exist in each resort, especially in Busteni, where there is the most accessible and the quick way to reach the massive: the cable car.

The Bucegi Massif presents the Omu Peak (2505 m) situated in the north with a direct view to Valea Glajeriei, one of the attractions of those who reach Bucegi Plateau.

Temperatures are very oscillating as the weather as a whole, if summer in Busteni are 25-26 degrees, up, in Babele the temperature gets to be over 10 degrees lower, at this participated the wind almost endless on the plateau. That's why it's good to remember:
-When climbing up the mountain (generally), you have a thicker coat, if you can waterproof, suitable shoes for the mountain (boots with a rubber sole), and for kids necessarily a bunch with a jacket.

The weather is change very fast, if it is now clear sky, in a few minutes you may leave a thick fog (as it happened to us at the beginning of the month) or it may start a bad rain, and you have too many shelter possibilities. When it's ugly on the mountain, with fog and clouds, limit yourself to the cabins around the cable car and the tourist attractions of Babele will not venture along the trails, even if they seem light at first glance, the mountain, like the sea never forgive.

Returning to Bucegi and to the vegetation in the area, we meet a wide variety of flora located on forest floors including beech, fir, spruce, and to the upper part bushes, jnepenis and alpine meadows. As the flora we meet is protected by the law headed by the "flower of the queen"

The fauna is as diverse as it is protected by law, there are over 3000 species of animals, many of which are protected. The main animals with the highest share in the Bucegi Mountains have bears, who in recent years have decided to socialize with the tourists from the resorts, the wolves that started to descend from the stana to the valleys with the tourists in the tent, looking for " grilled " , deer black goat that I have also seen from the cable car on a rock corner, I do not know how it got there, wild boar, and birds as eagles and ravens who are not afraid to over the plateau.

The main chalets are: The Babes located on the Bucegi Plateau, very close to the cable car station leaving Busteni, is a cottage with 100 seats available, generally reserved, but one third is always available for the tourists who are left on the plateau or who have problems. It is quite old, it was built in 1937.

Caraiman, a chalet that is easily reached from the cable car station, located on Bucegi plateau (about 30 minutes walk from the cable car). It is a cottage built in 1937 together with Babele, has a capacity of 30 seats.

Piatra Arsa is located almost halfway between Sinaia 2000 and Babele Chalet, was built before the Second World War, initially had a military destination. Today it is a modernized hotel-hut where the athletes come for campgrounds, but there are also available rooms for tourists who want a few days of relaxation at nearly 2000 m.

As a parenthesis I have to say that Jepi is a few cables in the wall, a pillar came out of the wall and I fell down with a cable in a rather steep valley. Luckily, as I fell, I caught the trunk of a fir tree and I stayed until two perfectly equipped tourists threw me a rope that I managed to catch and so I escaped.
Although I'm not afraid of anything, since then I have not done this route, choosing either the 2000+ version or the cable car. Maybe I will find the time to write about this experience, especially since I had several moments full of adrenaline, including the Heroes Monument (the Caraiman Cross) when it was allowed to "get acquainted" with the metal stairs inside the Monument .

A route traversed by many tourists is Sinaia - 1400 - Varful cu Dor - Chalet Piatra Arsa - Pestera Hotel.

-It is a route of almost 8 hours, it is especially perfect during the summer when it is accessible to all categories of tourists.
From Sinaia, near Furnica we follow the road to 1400, taking care to cut the serpentines through the forest, so after one hour we are at Cotta 2000. We then continue our journey to by the Valley of Brazi and after 2000 we can breathe easy, the big one has passed. The trail goes down to Chalet Piatra Arsa where we arrive after about 90 minutes after we leave at Cota 2000. After rest, we start off downhill through the Jepii Mari and Saua Cocora to Pestera hotel where we arrive after about two hours after we left Piatra Arsa .

From here you can take a cable car to Babele and then Busteni or you can climb directly through Vacaria's edge to Babele and then downhill through the Little Jepilor.

Another route that I like very much because it is very easy Sinaia - 2000 - Piatra Arsa Chalet - Babele Chalet - Heroes Monument - Costila Peak - Omu Peak - Babele Chalet - Busteni

-It is a 10-hour route with indulgence if, up to Cat 2000 and vice versa from Babele in Busteni we use cable car, but it is easy and very pleasant, not at all tiring.

The route is mostly on the Bucegi Plateau, but it is necessary to take into consideration the weather changes, so be careful, in a backpack beside the water you have a thicker coat.
From Babele there is a way down and down to the Caraiman Cross (Monument of the Heroes) and in some parts the path is very narrow, with wide valleys, so if you have small children, you have to keep them handy. Once in Monument, the view is wonderful, you feel on the roof of the world, Prahova Valley and especially Busteni is seen in all its splendor, the ideal is to catch a clear day, but there have been cases when I left in the clear sky at Babele and I got to the mist (as we got at the beginning of the month).

After the pictures session, we turn our attention to Pete Costila. The access near the top is bounded by signs, we are informed that the television relay is a strategic objective, guarded by a gendarme unit, so it must be kept some distance.

The road leads us to Omu Peak, it is well defined by signs, the path is very visible (like any path on the Bucegi plateau) where we arrive after about 2 hours. The view is absolutely delightful to Piatra Craiului, on clear days the visibility is very good. The weather station here is considered at the highest altitude in the country, hence its absolute importance.

After serving a noodle soup (believe me, it is delicious), returning to Babele chalet, where we will arrive after about 3 hours of easy walk.

There are many trails (almost 30) that start from all the cardinal points of Bucegi, some lighter, some more complicated, some forbidden for the cold season, others allowed.
Bucegi are maybe the mountains I love the most, most of which I remember most. If I have time I will also write about Piatra Craiului, Retezat, Parang, Iezer Papusa, Ciucas, Ceahlau, Apuseni, mountains that I beat.

Beautiful holidays wherever you go and love the mountain!
Thanks la for visit ๐Ÿ˜‰
