It seems that I’m all about the moose here on my blog, which would be quite stereotypical, since me being Swedish and all. But the fact is I’m not the culprit here, my wife is. Whenever we have visitors from abroad we head off to the moose park.
Speaking of culprits this small baby moose was responsible for quite the traffic jam in the park. She was very social and would go up to all the car windows and let the visitors pet her. Very cute indeed.
Another celebrity was this big moose with huge horns. He definitely was the king of the forest in these parts of the woods. He kept some distance, and didn’t want to come up to the car. And maybe that was for the best as he wouldn’t have scratched the car with his antlers.
This park also has the bison and today something unusual happened. As we went in to the inclosure where they keep the Bison, the car in front of us suddenly started to reverse the car and was heading right at us. It was a thin road and quite muddy, but as they were reversing I figured I would do the same, since they seemed to be a bit panicked. As I was reversing I slid of the track and then I got a bit angry, wondering what the hell these tourist were doing. And then around the bend two huge bisons came roaring out locking their horns and fighting.
I didn’t get that on tape as it was too much going on there and we just wanted to save our car from being smashed into a tin can.
Later when we continued forward they had calmed down and one bison actually came up to the window and let us pet him. Very majestic animals !
So today is New Year’s Eve . So I better get off the couch and start preparing ! Wish you all an awesome day and a happy New Year!
One of my neighbors on the other side of the island cross breeds buffalo with cows, for "Beffalo".
Haha That is interesting. Have you tried the meat ?
Ive had it before. Its much leaner and has a wild taste. Tastes the best when ground into hamburgers.
I can imagine that would be tasty 😋
This short video explains why they breed them in a specific way.
