Picking off where we left off from our trip to Luxembourg, we headed to one of the world's most famous city, Amsterdam. Amsterdam is Europe's 5th largest seaport and was a major trading city during the 18-19th century, but people just remember the place to smoke and as the hometown of Heineken. But for us, it was just a beautiful city with water ways and canals crisscrossing the streets. Amsterdam was the biggest city during this trip and we saw that people from all around the world was visiting and having a good time. So we did the same.

룩셈부르크에서 브뤼셀로 다시 돌아와서 아침에 일찍 유럽의 명소인 암스테르담에 갔습니다. 암스테르담은 유럽의 5번째도 큰 항구 도시이며 18-19세기에 굉장히 큰 무역 도시였다고 합니다. 사람들은 암스테르담을 생각하면 주로 다른것?들이 떠오르는데 저희는 이 도시가 자체만으로굉장히 아름답고 좋았습니다. 이 도시에는 정말 세계 전 지역에서 사람들이 놀러온거 같고 저희가 이번 여행에서 간 곳중에서 가장 다양한 사람들을 만날 수 있었습니다.
*And yes. We drank beer all day long.
아. 그리고 하루 종일 맥주만 마신거 같습니다.
*We left early in the morning to catch a train to Amsterdam, where we enjoyed beautiful weather and had a great time just watching the clouds. I also had to work during our train ride...
아침에 기차를 타고 가는데, 너무 아름답고 평화로운 시간을 보냈습니다. 기차에서 일을 좀 보긴 했지만... 그래도 다 좋았습니다.
*We stayed at the Sir Adam Hotel right across Central Station and the river (or ocean, I'm not really sure) and had beautiful sights of the all around us. The hotel was an amazing place in itself so we gave some time to snap some photos. What was interesting about the hotel was that each elevator was designed with different themes and music and our room had a turntable which we enjoyed some amazing music.
저희는 기차역 강건너 Sir Adam Hotel에 묵었습니다. 이 호텔은 정말 신기하고 호텔 자체로도 볼것 이 많았습니다. 각 방은 조금식 다르게 꾸며져 있고, 호텔 엘레베이터는 테마에 맞게 다른 분위기를 내게 설정 되어있었습니다. 방안에는 turn-table이 있어서 올드하게 좋은 음악을 많이 들을수 있었습니다. 열심히 사진을 찍었습니다.
*We proceeded to get lunch and beer to start our day at a local place. Because the weather was so nice, we sat outside to enjoy the sun. This restaurant named "Cafe Loetje" was famous for its steak with beef oil and classical Dutch dishes. Definitely worth the trip over there.
호텔에 나와서 점심 먹으러 "Cafe Loetje"에 갔습니다. 이 곳은 전통 더치 음식과 스테이크로 유명한 곳이였습니다. 날씨가 너무 좋아서 밖에 앉아서 식사를 했습니다. 기회가 있으면 꼭 가보길 바랍니다.
*We had some neighbors on the table next to us who had a huge German Shepard and we were fooling around with him whenever we had the chance. They were kind enough to let us pet the dog, although I think the dog didnt like it too much
옆 테이블에 앉은 손님들이 강아지?라고 하기엔 너무 큰 저먼 세퍼드를 가지고 왔는데요, 강아지는 저를 별로 좋아한것 같진 않습니다...
*After lunch, we walked around the city enjoying the sights and smells of a bustling city! Here are some shots.
밥 먹고, 도시를 걸으면서 평화로움과 여유로움을 느끼면서 사람들이 분주한 도시 경치를 즐겼습니다.
*We were in Amsterdam, so had to visit the Heineken factory, which we heard was worth the visit. When we got there, we had to wait a bit but since we bought our tickets in advance, we entered in no time. We learned about how beer was made and yes, I already forgot, but the factory was quite interesting. The first part was more or less about how beer is created from hops and so forth, but the second part was like an party zone where they provided beer to the visitors and allowed them to play games and mingle. It was a very drunken experience.
암스테르담에는 하이켄의 공장이 있습니다. 이 공간은 무조건 사전 구래를 하시면 긴 줄을 피할수 있고 조금만 기다리면 입장 가능합니다. 맥주가 만들어지는 과정에 대해서 공부하고 투어가 끝나면 맥주를 즐길수 있습니다. 마지막에 맥주를 주는 공간은 성인들을 위한 공간으로 게임 그리고 약간 파티 같은 장소에서 맥주를 마실수 있습니다. 취하는 분위기여서 꼭 강추입니다.
*After the tour, we got some souvenirs and walked over to the famous "AMSTERDAM" sign. It was impossible to take a photo without someone in the background photobombing you, but we had fun.
공장에서 기념품을 하고 유명한 "암스테르담 간판"으로 이동했습니다. 사람들이 너무 많아서 사람 없이 사진찍기는 불가능하지만, 재밌었습니다.
*Taking photos and walking around the city was no easy task, so we ate up to keep up and yes, more beer.
*This was an interesting place, where people got hot foods inside a vending machine like place. It was quite yummy.
*Dinner at a famous place in Amsterdam was very difficult to go because most of the 4.5star rated places in both TripAdvisor and Google Maps were reservation only. We found a place we liked, and got really lucky. We got seats where we could see the meat grilling in front of our eyes. Yummmmmm...
저녁식사는 예약없이는 유명한곳에서는 식사를 하기 어려웠습니다. 저희는 여기저기 다니다가 엄청 기다려야해서 결국 기다리다가 자리가 난곳에서 식사를 했습니다. 운좋게 스테이크 집에서 직접 스테이크를 굽는게 보이는 장소에서 식사를 할수 있었습니다. 정말 맛있었습니다.
*After stuffing ourselves with food and beer all day long, we were met with the amazing night of Amsterdam. These are some photos to compare the daytime and the night. A tiring but beautiful day.
밥을 먹고 난뒤에 해가 졌습니다. 암스테르담이 왜 밤에도 엄청 이쁘다는지를 아래 두사진을 비교해보면 알수 있었습니다 .피곤했지만, 아름다운 하루였습니다.

왠지 사진 속에 담긴 암스텔담의 전경은 평화로워 보이네요.(실제로 평화롭겠지요 ㅎㅎ)
하이네켄은 평소 구리구리한 쇠맛(?)이 나서 별로인데, 그래도 여기가면 꼭 들러야 될 필수 코스가 될 것 같아요.
공장은 꼭 가볼만 한거 같아요. 구경도 하고 사진도 찍고 맥주 제공하는 양이 입장권 가격이랑 비슷해서. 시간되면 강추입니다!
암스테르담은 마치 동화속 도시 같은 느낌이네요.
한적하고 고풍스러운 듯 하면서 또 한편으로는 세련된 유럽 느낌이 동시에 보여 지는 군요.
사진 한컷 한컷 왠지 여유가 묻어나는 기분은 그냥 유럽이라는 곳에 대한 동경 때문일까요.
멋진 곳을 다녀오셔서 참 좋으셨을 듯 하네요. 부러워요~ㅎㅎ
정말로 여유롭고, 실제로 바쁜 사람들은 관광객들 밖에 없는거 같더라구요.
실제 주민들은 대부분 일하고 있거나, 그냥 여유를 만끽하고 있어서 저희도 현지인처럼... 여유롭게 돌아다녔습니다 ㅎㅎ. 그렇다고 해서 런던이나 파리처럼 관광객이 너무 많아서 힘들거나 하지도 않아요. 호객행위도 다른 유업 대도시랑 조금 다르구요. ㅎ
