Saint Petersburg is built on water. Part of it is based on former swamps. So here are more than 300 bridges. They connect the Central part of the city with Petrogradsky, Stone, Rabbit, Elagin and Krestovsky islands.
The briges are very beatufil. Each one has specific decoration at the day. Also, you can listen to the history of each brige in a speacial box on the bridge.

And specific illumination at night.
13 bridges over Neva river are separated at night for a navigation period. So as Cinderella, you should be at your part of the city before separation).
To watch separation, you should not sleep till 01.30 - time, when separation starts. Than you can sleep straight at the quay on so comfortable bunches)
