I just joined steemit two days ago. My first post gave me about 200+ upvotes. It was a great surprise and a wonderful journey. This community has a great network of people from all parts of this world. We share many things in common. After all, we are all a part of this beautiful community. That's why, I, a member of this community, feel it a great opportunity to share about me and my country.
Nepal, a land of historical and cultural importance, a land where Gautama Buddha was born, where Brave Gorkhalis fought their life for the country, is a gift of nature. We have our own identity and dignity.
Nepal is both physically and culturally diverse. It's a common home of people of hundreds of castes and sub-castes. So, it is rich in it's customs and traditions. Most castes and sub-castes of people in this country have preserved their own distinctive lifestyles. It's also a multi-religious state. It is considered a holy land of especially Hinduism and Buddhism. Thus, the constitution says 'Nepal is a multi-ethnic, multi-religious and multi-cultural country.' Here are some famous customs and traditions of Nepali societies.
