For ex., crypto and tech are really hot topics right now, but should I write it? No, I'll just stick to whatever I know and write about it. I will not write just to "fit in", or in hopes of earning instant money. Anyway, it is easier to write things we really know about or anything based on our own experiences. And it makes us write more and not easily give in to discouragement.
There's no point in writing about one of the more popular topics if you can't be passionate about it and produce stuff people really want to consume. People are just going to see it as putting money ahead of engaging content.
