Bangkok's Green Lung has long been protected by strong conservation laws, and now has hardly any buildings taller than the treetops. The area is still mostly small farms and coconut groves that feel worlds away from Bangkok, but it's so easy to get to. Bang Kachao is technically in the neighboring province of Samut Prakan, but since all you have to do is get on a boat in Bangkok and get off 3 minutes later, it's basically Bangkok.
It's not that well kept of a secret, but definitely only a tiny percentage of the people who visit Bangkok actually go. It's probably my favorite half day trip in Bangkok.

Thank you! It's a cool place
Thank you so much for this. I am going to Bangkok for my first time in about 2 weeks. I am definitely going to check this out.
Thanks for watching! You definitely should go. There's a quick overview in this post about how to get there http://itsbetterinthailand.com/videos/bangkok-green-lung/
beautifully made video.. thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the compliment and for watching!
I just visited the Green Lung 2 weeks ago. Been meaning to write about it. 5 minutes across the river and you are in a different world!
Yeah what a cool place! Did you see the fighting fish museum? I missed it both times I went but have heard it's actually pretty cool. I'll be looking for your post
