In the photo you can see “Johan's Supermarket” (a good store), just behind it, on the right side, our hotels are located. And this road is part of the Zalor Carmona beach road, which connects the beach with the Panchayat village and the Carmona road leading directly to Carmona. “Beach” appeared in the name so that there would be no confusion and you would know for sure that it is Carmona Beach Road that leads to the beach, and Carmona Road to Carmona.

At the crossroads next to the hotels there is a sign indicating where everything is, in this regard everything is fine, it is impossible to get lost, although it is possible. You just need to use local maps! We will also go to church and Cavellosim, but another time. It's funny that both Cavelossim and Cavellosim write it. Who cares! Although English is the main language in India, because there are 447 languages and 2000 dialects, they must somehow understand each other, but mistakes in English names also occur. This is “Indian” English, with nuances.

A bus going to Margao usually stops near the Fattrade Road intersection a couple of times a day. Margao is the second largest city in Goa (the first is Vasco da Gama with a population of 100,000 people), 78,000 people live in Margao. For information, the capital of Goa is the city of Panaji with a population of 59,000 people. But the numbers in India are very deceitful, here not even all village residents have passports (accordingly, there are no bank cards either, only cash), as they are considered there, only God Shiva knows this! These are all estimates from 5 years ago, since then there could have been more people. Now there are 1.4 billion people living in India, and 5 years (last census) ago there were 1.3 billion.

Basically, many tourists go to the central market of Margao for shopping. It is said that Margao is the commercial capital of Goa. We had the idea to take a ride on this bus, it’s inexpensive. It seems like the drive to Margao is nothing, just 12 kilometers, but this is India, son! The bus winds through all the nooks and crannies of Goa, slowly rolls along Fatraid, stops at Benaulim, and as a result, these 12 kilometers in a straight line turn into a 2.5 hour journey through the nooks and crannies. Looking at the size of the bus, we figured out how hot and stuffy it would be there and how many happy Indians would be packed into this little bus along the way, but we don’t really need this shopping in Margao, we’ll do some shopping in other places. We’d better take a walk to the neighboring Panchayat village, you won’t get lost here, you have to walk in a straight line all the time and don’t turn anywhere, we’ll reach the busy (compared to Zalor Beach) intersection with Carmona Road. The walk to the Carmona Road intersection is approximately 1.3 kilometers.

There is no point in publishing bus schedules and prices, everything changes so quickly now. This information can be easily found at the reception desk of the hotel or guesthouse where you are staying. We had all this written down, but the piece of paper was successfully lost, and oh well!

Wir hatten die Idee, mit diesem Bus mitzufahren, er ist günstig. Es scheint, als wäre die Fahrt nach Margao nichts, nur 12 Kilometer, aber das ist Indien, mein Sohn! Der Bus schlängelt sich durch alle Ecken und Winkel von Goa, rollt langsam entlang der Fatraid, hält in Benaulim und so werden diese 12 Kilometer in gerader Linie zu einer 2,5-stündigen Fahrt durch die Ecken und Winkel. Anhand der Größe des Busses konnten wir uns vorstellen, wie heiß und stickig es dort sein würde und wie viele glückliche Inder unterwegs in diesen kleinen Bus gepackt würden, aber diesen Einkauf in Margao brauchen wir nicht wirklich, das tun wir schon Gehen Sie woanders einkaufen.
