On occasion I have had people reply to me on steem using the term "dear". Do people understand the emotional loading in those two words ("Thanks dear"). They are like a caress to one's mind and spirit. They are like two old people holding hands while sitting in a garden...watching the setting sun. They are like fingers rippling on heartstrings. They are lips brushing the words "my love" on a person's ear.
Alternatively it is a spelling mistake and your are showing your appreciation for a quadruped.
Thanks Deer ...
I didn’t get you. Why are you telling it to me ? I didnt call u deer!!
I was attempting a clever reply (unfortunately quite poorly) as a response to your opening to your reply:
To me the use of "dear" signifies affection ... generally reserved for people you have a deep affection for. I would use it for someone I was in love with or for very young children.
Your most recent post 15 Ways ... describes ways how to find love but in my experience each time a person puts themselves in the position to find love, it becomes increasingly more difficult. A person's walls become too tall and thick to allow others "in" as they encounter disappointments.
I really don't intend to become too deep on replies... I tend to become quite boring. That is why I deflected down the punning route. I apologise but sometimes my humour is "stag"gering.
Well steemit brings in front of you so many perspectives. Calling people dear might be one of it. It is a gesture here, for kindness.
Talking about the new post about 15 ways, it is for those who are ALLOWING someone to be a part of their life. This post is for them and not for those who wanna hide in their shells.
I hope I haven't offended you ... that is not my intent. I know that you are an intelligent person with the best intentions. I personally view the collective unconscious as a river that we all can dip into. Sometimes I swim a little cross current to everyone else. It is largely due to the fact that I am an INTJ. Again I apologise.
