Laguna Miscanti in the Atacama Desert

A highlight of the San Pedro region in the north of Chile is the Laguna Miscanti. It is located at an altitude of 4140m in the Andes.

The brown sand, the deep blue water of the salt lake and the steep volcano Cerro Miscanti (5622m) in the background create a stunning view. You can watch animals like Vicunas or flamingos here.
