One thing that makes Iceland unique in the world are the countless stunning waterfalls. Some farmers even have private waterfalls in their backyard.
One of my personal favourites is Urridafoss east of Reykjavik. It is the most voluminous waterfall in Iceland.
Urridafoss is underrated by most tourists and not so famous as others. When I visited there were no other people around and I had the whole waterfall for me alone ;) You can climb along the shore and even get to a small island in the middle of the river.

Yes, whole Iceland is a great place to photograph...
This is stunningly beautiful! You have such a gift for photography. You've definitely honed your craft and it shows.
I love those off the beaten path places. I think they have even more to offer than the "popular" locations because of the tranquility and unspoiled beauty.
Thank you for sharing your lovely work! I'm following you for more, and looking forward to browsing through your other work.
Thank You. You're right, it is more pleasant when you're alone in the nature than being overrun by the other tourists... ;)
I love Iceland - I visited there in 2001, unfortunately, the pictures I took are not with me, but it was an amazing experience, especially being at Gullfoss and Strokkur in February with snow and ice everywhere. Thanks for reminding me.
Yes, I think with snow and ice most waterfalls even look better than with green gras ;)
I remember that spot. We never would have known about it except that a local we talked to pointed it out to us. Definitely under-promoted!
Yes, it is. At the next waterfall were hundreds of tourists as usual in Iceland...
Of course. ;)
