It seems the steemit mojo has conspired against me reaponding to this comment! The bountiful wit in my previous attempts at response cannot now be replicated in my early morning state.

Me both times! @ecoinstante is my wife's account, she doesnt take full advantage of her upvotes and she is logged in on our tablet so I occasionally 'help her out'.
I had responded before, something witty and delicious like - 'no one will punish you if you are up or down 1 or 2' - but way wittier. I only noticed this morning that it seems that comment didnt actually post.

One other thought, instead of creating a double notification by calling someone by their full username,
ie @buttcoins, I often fabricate a name for them beased on my interpretation of their user name. With you...well....hence 'my dear Butt'
well my name in my header is The Butt. so very close. there is something endearing about my dear Butt. double dear notification
as to double notifications...not sure about that one. as far as i can tell i only get 1 notification when someone uses my name in a comment. but im not so computer savvy either....so maybe im not aware of where the double notification is coming...
The notifications don't seem all that consistent, but I often get one for a reply and one for the mention, even if its the same comment.

yeah...i have figured a lot out in the last 4 months. i kinda used my foray into crypto currency to become more competent with computers. I can work my way around now...but shit have i wasted some serious hours watching and reading tutorials on this and that computery thingy.
