England has that old reputation of having bad weather! Rainy everyday. Well that reputation probably comes from the Lake District. A beautiful place to camp and travel to but the worst place if you expect sun and clear skies!
The Lake District gets its name for obvious reasons. Regular rain and rain run-off from the mountain slopes collects in the valleys forming numerous lakes and pools.
It is also one of the coldest and windiest places I have camped for a long time. Finding shelter in forests and undergrowth was the best option. Fortunately I stayed dry and my tent held up.
Each drone flight I took was short as rain showers constantly blew over.
An island of dead bracken looked nice from the sky. A little post editing in Lightroom helped brighten up the already gloomy appearance. Heavy cloud cover, rolling fog and a dull day just wasn't helping.
I am not sure is this was a local park area or wildlife reserve- I must have missed the signs- or perhaps there weren't any.
The land was well kept in areas and designated tracks around this particular lake offered a nice walk.
