Charles Bridge never ceases to amaze
I had never been to Prague and now I have been five times during the last year. It is without doubt one of the most stunningly beautiful cities in Europe. Charles Bridge is captivating offering superb views up and down the River Vltava.
Being totally pedestrianised it hosts a myriad of vendors, many gifted artists, selling their work. I have walked the bridge in summer and the dead of winter and yet it is always busy. Both sides of the bridge are adorned with huge gargoyles leading to stunning ancient buildings guarding the entrance to the old town. A word of warning be wary of the currency exchange kiosks in the old town. They don't always offer the best deal, sometimes far from it.
