Venezuela is a country with a gigantic tourist potential. There are few countries in the world that offer such a diversity of landscapes, such as the Angel Falls, beaches, coasts, cays, islands, mountains, plains, dunes, archipelagos, jungles, snowy peaks, among others, its climate is so favorable that It varies according to where you are. 1.- ANGEL JUMP:
It is the highest waterfall in the world, with a height of 979 m> (807 m of uninterrupted fall) generated from the Auyantepuy. It is located in the Canaima National Park, in the state of Bolívar.
A protected natural area, established as a National Park on June 12, 1962 and declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1994.
2.-MARGARITA ISLAND:
In addition to the attractiveness of its beaches, Isla de Margarita is famous for its shopping tourism offer, given its status as Puerto Libre, being large shopping centers and stores of major brands, especially concentrated in the cities of Porlamar and Pampatar.
3.- ARCHIPELEGO OF THE ROCKES:
Another of the paradisiacal tourist places of Venezuela to visit in the Caribbean region, a coral atoll formed by fifty islands and hundreds of small keys, where probably hide some of the most paradisiacal beaches of the country, characterized by its white sands and warm waters crystal clear.
The whole area is part of the Los Roques Archipelago National Park, which ensures some protection over its idyllic natural surroundings, concentrating most of the tourist services in small inns located on the island of El Gran Roque, the only inhabited island.
4.- NATIONAL PARK CANAIMA:
Located on the border with Guyana and Brazil, it corresponds to one of the most famous natural gems of Venezuela, a park declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, whose vast extension places it among the largest national parks in the world.
Among the spectacular scenarios of the park, stand out both its imposing rock formations, with vertical walls and almost flat peaks, known as "tepuyes", as its huge waterfalls, among which are the Kukenan and the Angel Falls, the latter, the the world's highest water fall.
5.- MORROCOY NATIONAL PARK:
Another national park that could not be out of any ranking of the best tourist places in Venezuela, encompassing a vast territory of terrestrial and aquatic areas in the Golfo Triste area, a gulf located in the southern part of the Caribbean Sea.
In the terrestrial zone of the park are the areas of exuberant mangroves and beautiful inlets where beaches of white sands and turquoise waters extend. While its marine zone has the attraction of its privileged underwater scenarios, where to practice snorkeiling in ecosystems of extraordinary biodiversity.
6.- MOCHIMA NATIONAL PARK:
Park of beautiful natural scenarios, among which there are coral reefs and mangroves in the coastal area, as well as millenary humid and cloudy forests in the area of the foothills of the Eastern Cordillera.
The greatest fame of the place comes from its Caribbean beaches, both those that extend in the continental zone and those hidden among the numerous islands of the park. Among all of them, you can not fail to mention Playa Colorada, a beautiful beach with crystal clear waters and golden sands surrounded by coconut trees and mangroves.
7.- CROOS PORT:
Port city on the coast of the Caribbean Sea, known for its extensive tourism development, with both an extensive hotel infrastructure and an attractive entertainment offer, especially concentrated on its Paseo Colon, with numerous restaurants and nightclubs.
Although the city itself does not have spectacular beaches, boats leave from its pier that in a short time transfer to the paradisiacal beaches of the islands of the Mochima National Park, among which the nearby Isla de Plata, Las Chimanas, Cachicamo and Borracha stand out.
8.- MERIDA:
This university city is another of the attractive places to visit in Venezuela, delighting both with its beautiful landscapes of surrounding mountains and with its valuable historical heritage, housing numerous colonial buildings in its historic center.
Among its most famous tourist sites is the Sierra Nevada National Park, a beautiful nature reserve of snow-capped mountains, lagoons and cloudy jungles. Its access by means of the highest cable car in the world, is another of its attractions, a route of 12.5 kilometers, which manages to communicate the city of Merida with the Pico Espejo, highest peak in the country with 4,765 m.s.n.m.
9.- THE CHOIR MEDANOS :
In addition to its colonial zone, the city presents the attraction of its magnificent natural environments, among which are the Los Médanos de Coro National Park, with sand dunes in continuous movement and the Caribbean beaches of the Paraguaná peninsula.
10.- DELTA DEL ORINOCO NATIONAL PARK:
One of the best tourist places in Venezuela for lovers of ecotourism, comprising a vast area of humid tropical forest, which surrounds the delta of the mouth of the Orinoco River, site where the river branches into hundreds of channels also known as pipes.
The most attractive activities of the park are related to navigation through the channels or rivers, excursions in the jungle and visits to the indigenous communities of the Waraos. Although the offer of tourism is rustic, you can choose to stay overnight in basic camps near the different pipes or take trips from Tucupita, the capital state.
11.- COLONIA TOVAR:
Small town full of charm located only 42 kilometers from Caracas, a town founded at the end of the 19th century by German immigrants, where both its picturesque wooden architectures and its traditions and festivities are still noticeable.
Eating German food in their restaurants, visiting craft workshops, tasting sweets and preserves or drinking beer typical of the region, are part of the activities that can be performed in the place.
Tourism in Venezuela has developed considerably in recent decades, particularly due to its favorable geographical position, the variety of landscapes, the richness of the flora and fauna, the artistic manifestations and the privileged tropical climate of the country, which allows each region to be enjoyed.
