Small Korely - this is exactly what is called (through the "o") a museum of wooden architecture and the art of the peoples of the north under the open sky.
Through the letter "a" is called the village of Small Karely, which is located nearby.
The museum is located 25 kilometers from Arkhangelsk.
The territory of the museum is so great that it is impossible to go through all the expositions in one day! The area is comparable to a large village. Every house or church is a museum! The territory is divided into sectors: Pinega, Onega, Mezensky, Dvina, Pomor, Vazhsky.
On the way to Arkhangelsk we stopped at the village of Zachachye. Just was the sunrise.
The village is still asleep. Even the dogs do not walk.
Not stopping in Arkhangelsk, straight went to Small Korely.
Immediately at the entrance in the middle of the square stands a wooden church.
We took a map, chose a route and immediately went into the first house that came across.
Such carved "skates" were on the roofs of houses.
On the square was a holiday in the national style.
Further along the route it was necessary to cross the swamp along the footbridges and stairs.
You can easily get lost, if there were no signs and maps.
It would be a real village!
At the house we are met by a cat of the village rural color.
Exposition of boats and fisheries.
The cat was waiting for us at the exit.
The houses are just huge!
There is even a well known for our places "the crane"
Then we went the other way ... we almost got entangled in the route.
In every house there was no longer any possibility to stop by - there simply was not enough time. I wanted to see everything at least externally!
But we could not resist and went to look at the sleigh.
There are a lot of interesting things everywhere! I want to go there again, only in the summer. To the light day was longer and there was more time to get around!
A little walk through Arkhangelsk.
And we went back home.
On the way back, there was a dilapidated wooden church on the road. I tried to take a picture of it in total darkness, lighting it with a powerful flashlight.
