#travel *Building Malaysias first Co-Living Space*

in #travel7 years ago

Hey Steemians

Working remotely has become more and more popular. Especially people who are working solely digitally have enjoyed traveling and working at the same time. I have seen many people on steemit who do this - and of course steemit itself plays a huge role in that.

As we are traveling in Malaysia at the moment, we are in a steady need of a fast internet connection and a quiet place to focus. We just arrived in Langkawi - an Malaysian island the size of Singapur. It's a good mix of a touristy and yet local place.

Co-Working Langkawi

We found that quiet place - it's called Jetpack Langkawi. A small but perfect place with fast internet connection. By chance we are the only ones here, so the owner was more like a host to us and invited us to eat traditionally and taught us about Malaysian culture. So if you are in Langkawi - check this place out. They also have a place in Kuala Lumpur.

Co-Living Langkawi

But what I actually wanted to share today is a new project they are working on, which is called "District 8". It's the ** first co-living place in all of Malaysia**. How cool is that. They are constructing and building everything on their own with lots of love for detail. One of the founders of Jetpack and District 8 took us there to see how the process is going. Right now it's dry season but you have to imagine all the places blossoming in green or gold.

The place should be done in march 2018 . So check it out if you are interested.

Conclusion

I guess projects based on the steem blockchain will make it possible for people to experience traveling to different places in the world and don't make traveling a privilege of a certain group any more. I have read posts of steemians who were able to do their first traveling because of steemit and projects like these co-living spaces make it possible to continue working on a project while diving into another culture and connecting with like minded people.
