When you are visiting NYC, walking the Brooklyn Bridge should be a must for first timers visiting NYC. I mean just look at it..
Here are some facts about the Brooklyn bridge:
- Was built in 1883
- The bridge's construction took 14 years
-It involved 600 workers
-Cost $15 million (more than $320 million in today's dollars)
-At least 24 people died in its construction, including its original designer!
-This iconic feature still carries around 150,000 vehicles and pedestrians each day.
You can see the Statue of Liberty!

New York has always been a place I have wanted to visit. We see so much of it on the TV over here in the UK (mostly cop shows that show the bad things such as murders, drugs etc) that it would be good to experience the real NY. Thanks for the post.
New York is a very big city with multiple Boroughs (Manhattan, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island, Brooklyn). Some areas will have more crime than others but Manhattan is where you want to be. Brooklyn is also very nice so I'd spend my time at those 2 if I were you.
