An Autumn day in the heart of Bavaria
In October I visited my home, Munich for a couple days to visit my family. We stayed on a farm situated at the Tegernsee (a lake an hour south of Munich).
The location of our holiday home located slightly above the Tegernsee and at the beginning of a popular hiking trail called the "Neureuth."
We started the day with a drive around the lake ending in "Wildbad Kreuth." There we went on a walk to the famous "Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung."
The "Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung" was a health resort built in 1511. Today it is in the ownership of Duchess Helene in Bavaria. And was previously rented out to the CSU, Bavaria's most popular political party for 40 years. They used it to host their annual party meetings to which Merkel, Germany's chancellor also attended.
Situated below the "Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung" is a fish farm where you can buy fresh and smoked fish.
In the evening we drove down to the lake again and had dinner in the "Bräustüberl", a typical Bavarian restaurant located directly at the lake side.

Bavaria is a beautiful part of the world. I really like it there. As one of the editors for @steemitworldmap’s daily #traveldigest, I would love to see this post pop up on http://steemitworldmap.com. If you're interested, simply go to the website, search for your location, click on code (down the bottom) and add a short description. It will then generate the code you need to copy and paste into your post (not the comments) to have it show up on steemit worldmap. There’s also a FAQ section if you get a bit lost.
