#TripHacks: Make your next trips better by doing these 3 things!

in #travel7 years ago

Hi Steemit folks:
I love to travel and have been reading all those travel hacks/tips. Here are some travel tips that I've learned while travelling and can't find them listed on any travel hack website. These are very useful for me and I hope the same for you! :)

1. Carry luggage scale with you
Most of the hotel or any accommodation won't have weighting scale for you so it's really hard to measure the luggage weight when you love shopping and don't want to pay for extra load! Carrying a portable luggage scale can help you plan your shopping trip better.

2. Mark your suitcase with ribbon
This is to help you recognize your suitcase and prevent someone from picking up the wrong one. It can be a stripe like the following picture and you can even mark it as fragile to make sure your suitcase got handled properly.

3. Left the middle seat un-occupied
If you are booking a flight for yourself and your partner, just spare the middle seat. Like the following picture, book L23 and J23 and left K23 as a spare seat. Chances are you might get those 3 seats for yourself as people don't really like sitting in the middle unless the flight is fully booked. And if that's the case you'll just need to ask the person sitting in the middle to exchange the seat with you as you want to sit with your partner! I'm sure that person wouldn't mind :)

I hope these tips make your life a bit easier as they do for me!

Well how much does the luggage scale weigh :D

I got it from Thailand for $7 which can measure the weight up to 50kg! :)
