Yeah I think it's just because of the population growing like crazy people thought they had to compete to survive, I was coming to China expecting it to be a real spiritual journey but I was so wrong haha there's suprisingly not many religious people at all! Money is religion here haha but I think there will be a shift soon and people's minds and attitudes will change and it will get much better! Love and kindness will return =]
Hmm okay. I hear there is a growing middle-class in china?
Maybe this will help people to become a bit more chilled out and more spiritual?(Or am I wrong?). There is a lot of interesting ancient spiritual teachings coming from China, that is for sure...@antonycruddas
You might be right! There is quite a divide between rich and poor but you're right, there is a middle class growing. But the middle class are the most competitive, the kids finish school and then there straight off to teaching centers to learn for the rest off the night. Apparently the schools curriculum doesn't cover everything that they will do in their exams so you either need to pay a load of money for these extra daily classes or you will fall behind, it doesn't really make sense haha
Hmmm, not sure if this is a good or bad thing... I am sure some of these kids must like go nuts from sitting still that long... I mean kids need to kids right?
Yeah I totally disagree with it. All the kids seem constantly bored and tired. If you ask what they've been up to they will just reply with having classes and doing homework. And if you ask what there hobby is or what they like to do for fun 99% of the time they will say sleeping lol kids can't really be kids here, it's a little sad. I'm a teacher and I try and make my classes as fun and chilled as possible. The teaching style here isn't very interactive too, it's just the teacher talking and the kids listening and having to remember all the information. So I think they're bored out of their skulls most of the time.
Okay, sounds a bit sad, but I guess it is better that they manage to conform then go crazy and revolt with ADHD symptoms... Good thing you are trying to make the learning process a fun experience!!!
Yes it's so different over here it's hard to explain lol I hope one day you can come and check it out! :D
