I'm willing to bet that the coast had a lot to offer in the way of incredible sites. :)
Did you have to spend much time on Highway 1? I was terrified of that highway and tried to avoid it at all cost.

Unfortunately most of our travel was via tourist bus! However we managed to hire a bike around Delat and explored waterfalls and coffee farms - When I go back (which i will lol) I really want to do the whole thing on a bike!
