If you like historical places, you can travel to Turkey. Turkey has got a lot of antique cities. I chose 20 antique cities for you.

Ephesus

Phaselis

In Tekirova Village 35 km away from Antalya, Phaselis ancient city is located in the forest. The city is situated on both sides of the main street connecting the military harbor and the southern port. There are sidewalks with three steps on each side of the main street at 125 m long and 20-25 m wide. The street forms a square in the middle and then reaches the southern port. There is a sewerage and drainage system beneath this hall, which is furnished with smooth stone.

Pergamon

Pergamon is the name of the ancient city established in the center of the Bergama district of İzmir today. The city of Pergamon has a Roman settlement between the northwestern and Bergama Streams. There was an amphitheater of 50 thousand people and a theater of 30 thousand people. Remnants called the Viran Gate today are the surviving arch of the theater. The German engineer Carl Humann, who worked in the railroad in Western Anatolia in the 1870s, found the remains of the city.

Aperlai

Aperlae, BC Lycia was founded in the 400s. It is located on the skirts of the Hot Peninsula between Kas and Kekova. If you want to see it alone, you have a very low chance of finding it, so you can easily see rock paintings and early Christian frescoes in the context of a local guide.

Magnesia

The city is located in Germencik district of Aydın. It was established by the Magnets who came to Anatolia.
