Today Mai Khao Beach
Mai Khao Beach is 11km long and is the longest beach in Phuket. This long, deserted beach offers a panorama similar to the 350 km long coastal area between the island of Phuket and Ranong on the border with Myanmar. Dreamlike sandy beach lined with pines, tropical almonds and palm trees as well as beautiful tropical coastal plants. Mai Khao seems to be a long way from anything apart from a few luxury resorts and the refreshing Splash Jungle Water Park. The largest part of the beach belongs to Sirinath National Park, and is the only place in Phuket where the giant Ridley sea turtles lay their eggs every year between November and February. If you are looking for a 'far from it all holiday, May Khao Beach is definitely the place you are looking for.
