I travelled about 10 country in europa with my first interrail ticket. And i will never forget that times. first of all, if you live a country which is participant in interrail area. You can buy 1 ticket which is near 250 euro and you can use it everytime when you want to go somewhere with train. But if you not live in europa you should buy eurorail pass ticket . its more expensive but cheaper than travelling without these tickets.
If you tell yourself i will do interrail this summer. Probably you will think like that another year too because most of time people tell that i will do it but they cant do it because of time or plans change. I can recommend that you should buy interrail ticket suddenly and tell yourself i cant change it anymore:)
After you decided you will do interrail , you should ask yourself how many days i should travel. I recommend 21 days are really enough or less. And you should ask that which kind of interrail ticket you should buy. There are prices of interrail tickets if you are under 26 years old :
Travel on 5 days within a period of 15 days (€ 208.00)
Travel on 7 days within a period of 1 month (€ 255.00)
Travel on 10 days within a period of 1 month (€ 305.00)
Travel on 15 days within a period of 1 month (€ 376.00)
Travel on every day within a period of 15 days (€ 337.00)
Travel on every day within a period of 22 days (€ 394.00)
Travel on every day within a period of 1 month (€ 510.00)
After you chosed your ticket, you should know yourself what kind of traveller you are?
For me , There are 3 types of traveler;
- Travel fast , see more country , dont stay more than 3 days in a country
- travel slowly , see less country , stay at least 1 week in a country
- travel too slow, see 1-2 country, sit every good restaurant in that city, see every corner in the city
I choosed first one because i cant stay in a country more than 1 week :) i like to see different country and different cultures.
what is my route on my first interrail;
I flied to Rome from izmir, and i travelled this cities with one ticket in europa in a month
Rome, florance,Pisa, Venice, cinque-terre, monaco, barcelona, paris, amsterdam, berlin, hamburg, kopenhagen, stockholm, budapest, zagreb, sarajova
so Dont say this summer, just buy a interrail ticket.
