RE: How I Escaped Human Traffickers at The Cambodian / Thai Border - Part 1

in #travel7 years ago

Yes of course. It's been a few years when I took a spontaneous trip with some friends to a new place from my country. Nope, that place wasn't known as human trafficked but there were lots of people from different countries. As a social girl I like welcoming people in my country so that's what I did.
There were these 3 Australian guys who got really interested in me. Even if I was with my group they were calling me to discuss random things.
Then they started asking for food day and night as they wouldn't have any, I was ok with that.
But then they started pushing the limits very much and get into my intimacy like entering in the tent when I was alone without asking before, following me when I was walking alone until they invited me into their tent to spend the night. It definitely was a no-go for me and I really tried to say it nicely.
Well it's not been about human trafficked but the guys definitely wanted more from me and I almost did it, being hypnotized by the adrenaline of the cool vibes.
The story ended when they started a fire right next to my tent when outside was so windy and all the sparks were flying right in my tent. I woke up when I heard people screaming that the tent will start burning.. surprisingly the guys were already gone.

Oh dear. There is no need to stay 'nice' in those situations you know. It really helps to be clear, loud and direct at times. Sometimes I am 'rude' on purpose so I can stay in my peace. Sad but the truth.

Yep, you are so right.. I will keep in mind but I hope there won't be a next time for such things..
