If you want to travel to places, they say you must dispatch all your worries and fears the moment you step inside the airport and seaport. You must also leave your disappointments but rather expect for the best. If you are suppose to travel with your backpack, it is the only thing you are carrying then with a steadfast heart. I learned these things from our tiring six day journey across some portions of Luzon or the northern part of the country .

There are some other things I learned and I want to share with you all. I hope somehow this would entice you to travel and start collecting boarding passes and cherish every moment and people you meet.

Inside Fort Santiago where the Philippine National Hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal was executed.

Taking photos and making poses is nothing compared to the long walks that you would take. One might say, oh it is just for photos. But heck, what do they know? For one to take "instagram-worthy" or portfolio-worth photos, the subject must learn to face his or her fears of being ridiculed by the people around. Not all would be as bold or daring as the subject would be. I might look bold and natural, but actually I feel so insecure of posing especially when there is a number of people around waiting for me and for my "photographer" (who happens to be my brother) to finish our session.

It is harder when the place you are taking photos has extreme hot weather just like awhile ago at Intramuros. My skin actually got burned from days of trying to capture good photos (or at least of quality).

Taken by my brother Jose Alfredo at Rizal Park or also known as Luneta Park.

This one is a practice shot by my brother. As he was trying to get that angle, he was actually lying on the floor. We do not have those high quality or fancy cameras, so we use our phone and try to give our best in coming up with decent photos.

The internet connection is not always on standy. Oh how I wish the streets are filled with wifi connection or at least the mobile data strength is strong. But unfortunately, it might remain as a wish or something to look forward to for years . The service I paid was useless for the past few days because some areas we visited has poor signal strength.

To add, it made blogging harder since my family and I were always on the go. I need to finish a writeup in less than an hour. Well, it has always been like that but man! How I wish I have the comfort of time since I really want to express my thoughts and put it into writing.

Travelling with your family can be pretty annoying, but it will be worth it. My family and I had often travelled together and I must say it is really very tiring. My parents are just so demanding and they both love to take photos on almost everything that interest then (which points out to almost everything that surrounds us). They also love to walk a lot to the point that I would be so grumpy because my feet feel so tired just like right now.

But it is not just that! When your parents are around, in case there is an emergency that would happen to you, they would be around to assist you. To add, if you need a blood donor, at least you have a possible blood donor. Being with your family also allows you to meet your relatives nearby. It might make your wallet (by staying on their place for free) or break it (paying for a meal of more than ten people aroun. Yay!).

There are actually tons of pros and cons in travelling and I might be able to discuss more to you on my coming posts on the places we had been to. I am very excited! I also hope to hear your stories as soon as I get home.

Love,
Johanna Gail
