“Because when you look stop and look around, this life is pretty amazing.” Dr. Suess
The previous year was extremely difficult; we had been quarantined for so long that we couldn't even go somewhere safe, and others experienced depression and anxiety as a result of losing their jobs. But that doesn't mean we'll stop living because our time on Earth will continue as the global crisis consumes our time from being afraid to go out and do the things we love. As for me, I always find myself looking for something that makes me happy; and that's travelling for free and at the same time earning something not just money but also experience of course.
So after Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) in Manila I decided to take a month vacation in Cebu, thanks to my sister @purepinay for sponsoring my ticket and everything, hehe. Besides, Cebu was never boring for me because I enjoyed the neighboring area where my sister's place. She actually told me ahead of time that we will had a lot of work to do. And because of I'm a good and kind little sister (hahaha) I easily said YES! to whatever she told me. hehe,
Actually my big sister helped me a lot of things, that's why I will always do her a favor not because she's paying all my trips (hahah), but because I don't want to see her being stressed out and having a hard time organizing all the events etc. Coz she's actually a bit nerdy and a bit perfectionist, hehe, and I'm the opposite.
I will make a summary about my trip but for now, let me share to you my experience on short vacation at Shangrila.
Last 14th of July, went to Shangrila Mactan Resort for a quick vacation before leaving to Manila. We are currently at the mountain when my sister's partner messaged her about his plan and as we heard about it we get so excited, but at the very moment we are at the mountain enjoying the fresh air and picturesque scenery. My sister already blogged about it, hence I want to share my experience as well; but maybe next time after my Shangrila Experience.
So, the night before our trip to Shangrila, we prepared everything that's needed for the trip, and I also packed my belongings in preparation for my flight back to Manila.
We brought three suitcases full of snacks, clothes that includes swimsuits of course, and toys for Bobby.
After an hour driving to the Resort, finally we arrived. Upon arriving, of course, thermometer check first and scanning QR code for tracing. The little boy was excited to run inside but I need to lift him up for the body scanning. Then, we immediately went to the reception area for our checked in.
After, we checked in, we immediately visited the beach area, wear our swimwear and walked to the beach where actually far from our room. The little boy was so excited to see some fish and sea creatures. As we are approaching to the place, we saw the beach bar and a souvenir store. The sand was white and the beach bench are so nice as well. Of course, we went for a swim that day, because I told myself that I will not waste my time; that I need to enjoy every moment with them. Especially, Bobby he really wants to dive in and experience the sea. And so we did, me and Bobby swam for almost an hour in the sea, poor me because I don't put sunscreen while the little boy don't have to worry anything coz he well not get tanned. hahah, Anyways I wouldn't be bothered about it, I was born tan so it's okay. As long as I'm enjoying the moment.
So after an hour, we took a bath outside near the beach, it was really cold but the shower was so fancy,it was surrounded by plants.
Here's some photos:
Hope you'll like it. hehe
We also appreciated the sea-facing infinity pool. In fact, it's a very great view. The water seems so different, it appears so clean and light. The tiles were so blue that they made you feel like you were in the deep sea, which was a little frightening if you imagined it, but also fascinating. It's amusing to say the least!
After, I and little Bobby played along, he gets tired wants to drink his milk. So we went upstairs and wait for him to go to sleep. Thank goodness, after few minutes he slept. I and ate Gilaine went back to the pool and enjoy our time together. We swam all day until Bobby woke up. It's funny because even we feel hungry we don't want to stop swimming. hehe It's maybe our nature because we are used to swim all day in the sea when we're young. We just go home we saw our Mom approaching with her hanger on her hand or a broom stick, hahaha. You know what will happens next, just don't ask about it. hahah, Memories in our childhood was pretty funny and unforgettable, that's why I always treasure every moment with my family coz it brings me joy and color to my life. It's the reason why I'm collecting memories not things because when I got my own family I will be focusing to them and time will come that I don't have time for them because I'm too busy parenting my own child. I'm actually excited about it and at the same time will bit scared, hehe.
After long hours of enjoying the pool and the sun, we went to our room to changed, until' Bobby woke up and it's time for his playtime. We roam around and found a playroom for babies, also they have playrooms for teens, like Arcade and big slides. But other recreational area are closed due to the pandemic. Masks and social distancing is also a must.

It was a long and exhausting day, but it was also fun.
