RE: My trip to Honduras/ Mon voyage au Honduras

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

My dear friend. I am from Honduras but I'm living here in EUA. I know much about there. Language, culture, music and more. Not everything but yes, I know much about it. People is really amazing. There are many bad people and good people too. Is a poor country but if you can see they are very happy, they like romantic music, hot music, crazy funny music. They have many problems but they always smile and have a good time.
The language is Spanish but they have their own Spanish, that is; For example in Mexico a soda means a refresco, bone a refreshing drink, in Honduras a soda means a bag of powder for dough softener for flour tortilla.
Is a dangerous country but equal, with caution and visiting the most tourist places nothing happens. Roatan is the safest place in the whole country. Besides being beautiful.

Yes! I agree, I fell in love with the happiness of the people there! Especially the kids... they have nothing to play with but still they are so happy and nice. Wish I could return one day :)

:) I could not read everything you wrote in your post but I'm sure it was a great adventure that you lived. And tell me, my friend, what made you visit Honduras?

I wanted to help people less fortunate than me. I helped in a village, an hospital and in the markets where I entertained kids...

Waoh, that is really nice.... <3

I'm happy for you dear friend... I have a lot of time thant I do not go to Honduras and to visit the family. It is very expensive the flight and the stay in.. despite having family there.

Although more than money is because my husband fears to go by how dangerous it is or at least that's what is said, but I insist that as everywhere; More bad news circulates than good news. My husband and I are planning to go in December.

Oh that's great, from what region are you?

From San Esteban.
